Oh for real? I haven't checked their site in forever, I was just giving my two cents on the quality of shirts I received from them. Most of the bands they stock are AWFUL.

Mmmmmm, I would love to hear that. I was just telling Jeremy I think this song may have the potential to "out swagger" the original version of Iron Horse/Born to Lose.

Actually, 'Iron Horse...' is another song they didn't perfect on the album - both the No Sleep Til Hammersmith version and Wino's acoustic version are preferable. Check out the live version here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MHw0yzxHbQ It works perfectly with Lemmy's speech, haha. I think Mikkey is probably better for the song than Philthy was, too.

That was really, really good actually. And you're right his little diatribe at the beginning totally made it. That fucking guitar Phil is using is a nightmare though. That's gotta go.

I seem to remember enjoying the version of Iron Horse from their debut more than the one from No Sleep. I'm gonna have to check them out again when I'm at home.

I espoused my love for Rock N Roll as a whole and Just Cos You Got the Power in particular in that last "Does all Motorhead Sound the Same" thread. Easily my favorite "ballad" they did and an incredibly powerful song. Need to get my "Eat the Rich" forearm tattoo finished.

I feel like 95% of their core fan base, a.k.a. the people who would actually buy a shirt of theirs, aren't going to get the Sabbath reference for that one shirt. Everything else just looks like standard shit, to be honest.

They even have a meme on their shirt (top left, dolan). Appealing to the dumbest of their fans tbh.

A good way to tell if somebody is cool is by their reaction to Dolan. If they get angry at it, they're probably an overly serious asshole who hates fun.

There are better sites then Warlord I think. Most of the stuff there is pretty bland. My Cripple Bastards shirt is faded as fuck and my friends shirts have as well. Some of my other ones are still going good like my Naked City one but I think there are better sites.

Edit: I'll post pics of my shirts as well as the shirt type

There is absolutely no relation between Dolan and fun, so that is a very silly, borderline surreal thing to say, Thashierthanthou. :)

The Acacia Strain's merch is funny because they have tons of limited stuff primarily sold at shows that rips off famous logos/artwork that gets them cease-and-desist orders. Some of my favorite ones are the Mountain Dew logo, the North Face logo, the Notorious BIG's face with TAS logo, and The Acacia Strain Stole Christmas (which glows in the dark, but cracks very easily).

I get a chuckle out of Dolan every now and again. It's good to be able to avoid Reddit and Tumblr.

TAS is a total joke. Their fans seem to think that they're the most hateful and extreme hardcore band ever or something.

Just another lame /b/tard brainchild that was stolen by reddit and 9gag just moments after it's first post. It's some sort of surreal Donald Duck parody that isn't funny.

edit:
Calling it surreal is something of a compliment. Surrealism takes some sort of thought to it.

Their last two albums have gone in that direction and they have been sterile and boring, but their first four albums were characterized by funny one-liners that lighten the mood and make it "fun". It's kind of funny how they became so inoffensive when they started to come across as being more serious, while they seemed more offensive when they seemed to be cracking jokes.

Finally managed to listen to Blasphemy. Oh my god, why have I been missing this? ._.

One of the guys from Nuclearhammer (a local band in Toronto) showed me a track once, but I was drunk so I didn't really persist with the music. This whole album "Fallen Angel of Doom" is intense though! Definitely what I'm looking for in black metal right now.

Frogger, just tell him that it's going to be okay and he should probably go find another woman. Simple as that once feelings are removed from the equation.

Agree, that sounds absurd. Digging the oriental melodies too. Tomi should be careful about his headbanging though, as his dreadlocks could easily beat someone into submission

Hah, simpler said than done my friend. Plus, I feel like a total fucking scumbag giving relationship advice to other people.

Also, upon revisiting the album this is without a doubt, the most intense opener to an album of all time. DAT RIFF. HOLY FUCK. Listen to the whole song and it will crush your chest.

I'm trying to pry myself away from the Trail of Murder debut. I've had my eye on Hellhammer's most recent compilation album...should get that.

Yeah, I never checked out Hellhammer as much as I should have. Celtic Frost's To Mega Therion is an amazing work of metallic art, and Morbid Tales was good. But it's time for me to finally check out Hellhammer in as much detail as they deserve...

Demon entrails? Or is tehre a newer one? regardless good band; always been keen on starting a band that plays that kinda super simple old thrash/doom/black/whatever it is. Sounds easy and fun and shit.

Being a drummer for those types of bands was my favorite thing when I was back in Cleveland.

I've been wanting to start a Hellhammer/ Discharge worhip band called Hellcharge for years now  Since a few friends of mine are actually getting into Black Metal now it's totally possible... Only I live six hours away from them.
