On the subject of Senmuth, how many albums is he at now? If not over 100, he must be getting close.

I can't say i've ever bothered to check Senmuth out. His discography is just too daunting and I always have a fairly large list of new things to listen to.

I've been thinking. But metal has to be the most popular musical genre.
It just can't be. Weird thing is that many don't even know it exists...

Yeah, just pick some out at random and have a listen. Or ask Crick. As iAm said, I've listened to a few and they've been good.

I'd really recommend Hexeractime as well. Fucking incredible guitar playing on there. One of those albums that proves that he's a great guitarist, not just an amateur.

I think I like the effects of hydrocodone a little too much. Just have to make sure I don't abuse it and only use it as a painkiller.

Had my wisdom teeth out the other day.

Learn about the dangers of the apap in it before you even consider abusing it, you will regret large doses of apap...
Really, make some cannabis tea for the pain instead.

Looks like a normal joke-gift item to me. Consumerism would be more along the lines of Converse, Apple products and other hyped, mass produced stuff people buy to define themselves.

Well, I'm pretty sure you are purchasing the packaging.

And purchasing nothing would be the opposite of consumerism. Think about it :-P

I decided to check out that old military facility outside Kramer Junction earlier by the way. There's a fence around it and a parked security car by the front, so no pics of that unfortunately.

Hearing about a new Mayhem album, to me, is like hearing about a new Metallica album; while I'm pessimistic, I won't yet give up hope that it might be excellent, because they've done great things before now, in the dim past.

I partly agree, but the case is different because Mayhem didn't lose their artistic integrity and became a cash shoveling enterprise. Their output ranges from visionary to tediously random, but they didn't release a turd like St. Anger or even Load yet. I also find that they are among the most unpredictable bands of the genre so the new album could be anything, really.

There will never be another Deathcrush or Out From The Dark; just as there will never be another Kill Em All or Ride The Lightning.

For me, Mayhem hasn't done anything good since De Mysteriis and will never do anything better then that, but I guess I'm old school.

Post-Euronymous Mayhem is about as credible as post-Ronnie Van Zandt Skynyrd. Sorry for the incongruous comparison but Free Bird is stuck in my head after hearing it in the car a few minutes ago.
