Wow, those look fantastic!

'Scuse the instagram filter on this. It was my first Korean snow, so I had to snap a quick photo of the park on the corner and get it on the interweb in a jiffy.

Thanks! Those are some fires my grandfather lit outside his log cabin. We were having good time at his cabin drinking beer, bathing in smoke sauna and eating some very good food. The place is in a forest far from settlements, so the place is very dark during night time. There's no light pollution.

I can't remember if I've posted these in the past or not, but I'd like to share them:

When I was living in Utah, my friend and I would frequently take trips out into the wilderness to capture nature photos and desert landscapes. One day, as we were driving back from a fairly uneventful shoot, we noticed some very ominous clouds rolling in from the west and decided to set up on one of the lower ridges surrounding our home valley.

It ended up being one of the most active lightning storms I've ever seen in my life. We managed to catch some incredible shots. It was worth it to me for the experience though - I can't imagine a better place to feel the raw, living power of nature than the top of a mountain during a lightning storm.

For those of you who are interested, they were shot with a Nikon D600. I can't recall the specific lens.

I really want to do something winter landscapes. I just hate shooting in the winter. Too cold. Impossible to park anywhere without putting others in danger of hitting your car, or possibly putting it in a ditch. I'm gonna give it a go though. It's been so long since I've shot anything and I feel like shit about it.

Even though I know it was a typo, a sky trip sounds pretty rad unto itself. Those mountains are beautiful. I've only ever seen them from a plane.
