I didn't take these, but I was right with the cameraman. I can delete these if they're too much of a stretch of the rules.

Some pics I took at the St. Mary's river on the Florida/Georgia line. Not sure how common black water rivers are around the world but I'm sure if you've never seen it before you may be surprised, or grossed out. Hope you enjoy these:

Yeah it's from Tannins. And yes people swim in it on a regular basis.

Wow, I want your house!!!

I live less than a block from lake Michigan, so there is the occasional spectacular sunrise. Next one I see is getting uploaded.

I was just saying that is what the river in the photos is considered to be.

I think that's what you're asking?

Yeah, sorry. I was just asking about black water rivers:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blackwater_river

That remind me of:
-Rio Tinto, in Spain:

I will post some of my Plitvice photographs later.

12 degrees is about our average winter temperature here in Australia. And that's considered a cool/cold day! Nice photos as well.

Thanks but it was taken by forestcorpse, I quoted it as it reminded me of Arckanum (underneath).
Your tree photo is very relaxing/calming.

I`m a sucker for trees and nature, thinking about investing in a new camera, if anyone can post any tips for low light and general high quality pics without spending too much I`d appreciate it.

what camera took that lichen Byrain? it`s very sharp and clear.

Canon Powershot G6, a bulky dslr (Edit: Not a dslr, more like the in-between point of a dslr and a point n shoot...), it gets the job done though and I only paid $100 or so on ebay (The amazon sellers are asking for twice as much).

For low lighting, you'll want a good iso setting. Though I don't know very much about cameras, I mostly chose mine based on the macro setting/recommendation/price.

I like Canon to, have an ixus60, tho there isn`t much to play with in terms of iso, just auto, high or low.

I really expected you to say it was a $1000 DSLR, on Amazon UK it`s $249 so you got a bargain.

The Canon PowerShot SX130 is available (amazing the hardware you can get now) I`m going to read up on reviews especially for night time/dusk photos, the one`s above of the swan would show the bats flying from under the bridge.

Likely Psathyrella candolleana, a rather common and widespread species. I'd bet the majority of the posters if not all on this site have at least been near some of these once. I may need to look at them under a scope to be sure though.

And lsd + photography were meant for each other.
