I worked with a photographer back at my old art consulting job who had a panorama camera that he built himself. It had a bunch of gears and shit in it so that as he rotated the camera around, it rotated film through at the correct rate to capture the image for a flawless 360 panorama. Pretty cool stuff.

BasqueStorm, great mountain pics! The ones I posted were from a mountain trail here in the Cheonan, Korea city limits.

wow, that's a really nice looking town to be staying in, that's a nice looking backyard!. I'm guessing those mountain ranges in the distance in the second two are covered in snow in winter?

Yeah, the whole place gets covered in snow. It's a ski town in the winter time. If I am still here when it snows, I'll take more photos.

The blue mountains you see in the distance are the Rocky Mountains; that large ridge is called "The Steeples." This is what you see when you are on top. The mountains you see in the first photo are the Purcells.

I managed to nab a few cheap tickets to Christchurch, one of the most beautiful cities i have been to in nz, but totally destroyed still (big earthquake). I was only there for a couple of days but managed to get out in to the southern alps.
I didn't have the time to get the best out of the photo opportunity's, as i was just driving around clicking the camera here and there, plus it's not really the right season...still an amazing place though. The pics don't justify how massive everything is, the hills with out snow look small but are MASSIVE, and probably usually caked in snow in the colder months.

anyway here are a few i got

Ok, I just came back from riding my new motorbike (http://viviendoapesardelacrisis.blogspot.com.es/2014/09/nueva-yamaha-dt125re.html) in the mountains and took some photos of the fullmoon:

Alright, here's a massive heap of photos I took today. This isn't even all of them - I'm just gonna cherry pick the most interesting/least redundant ones. I've actually gotta say I'm fairly proud of a fair few of these. All were taken at that same Buddhist temple I showed before, and in the mountains behind it. Still a shitload of photos though, so, uh, don't open these spoiler tags if you have dial-up or something.

Took the new 4x4 out for a drive today to the Watagan Mountains about 45 minutes from home, and got some shots with my phone. Unfortunately some of them didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, but it does give you some indication of the country side around my parts. Was quite windy and hot today. The sun really had some bite to it.

Next February we are heading to New Zealand again, and I will be getting a nicer camera for this trip, to do the amazing scenery that NZ has to offer proper justice.

Haha yes you do. I was talking about the shitty quality of my previous camera I took with me last trip  really didn't cut it, so this time I'll make sure it does. Gonna do the north and south island(s) this time round. Going to see the Coromandel, so that should be cool (among lots of other things).

Christchurch looks like Suburbiaville, USA, haha. Actually Korea really weirds me out how it has essentially zero suburbs. There are fishing villages and little podunk farm towns in the middle of nowhere but virtually everyone lives in these massive apartment towers in proper cities. Strange stuff.

is there just too many people with not enough space and they have to start building up? think i would prefer my suberbia.

that suburb was one stilll intact, lots looked like bomb sites, uninhabited with only a few houses still standing. The city was fucked too with empty buildings, some still getting demolished[/quote]

No, it's just that Korea is only really recently a first-world country, so they're still in that period where everyone has flocked to the cities from the small agricultural communities and haven't gotten tired of cramped city life yet. There's shitloads of what's essentially wilderness here - just huge swathes of those rolling, forested mountains across the whole country that are entirely undeveloped. I figure eventually more well-to-do people will start building up a suburban sprawl here.
