I was hoping to have some cool nature photos from Jeju Island for you guys but unfortunately I couldn't go. Instead I went to Seoul for the weekend. These aren't strictly nature photos but I think you guys might still appreciate them.

I agree, sometimes the camera doesn't capture what you see with your own eyes, but that one sure did. Was that taken on the road out to Mount Cook by any chance?

Ha! Thought so. There was virtually no cloud cover when I was there back in 2012. The weather could not have been more perfect, and got a magnificent view of Mt Cook from the walking trails around there. Need to go back.

Fuckin' hell, I had booked a trip to Seoraksan, which is one of the most famous mountains in South Korea, to view the fall foliage this weekend but it's been raining like crazy and I missed a bus out there so I just cancelled the trip. Pretty bummed about it, but tomorrow I'm going to go to a local shrine I've been to before and hopefully get some decent foliage photos despite the rain.

Those redwoods are awesome! Love those looking up shots.

There were some really pretty trees but I can't help but think I missed some real beauty. We've had a ton of rain and a fair bit of wind the past couple of weeks, so I can't help but think a lot of the more barren trees would have looked amazing if they still had leaves on 'em.

That's Brough Castle, which dates from the 11th century, although most bits have been rebuilt/added over the years. Built on the site of an earlier Roman fort.

I have lots and lots more pictures but I tried to go for some less obvious ones in some situations. For example, all of the buildings and gardens at Tenryu-ji are gorgeous and I took probably 100 photos there alone, but I included just that one photo of running water in a little stream in the gardens there because I thought it was really pretty. If you wanna see pretty professional photos of those places just Google 'em haha.

I really wish I had a better camera though. My Samsung phone just doesn't take very nice HDR photos, and while my ZTE phone *is* capable of taking a decent picture it absolutely sucks in low light situations and is really prone to taking blurry photos if I don't hold the camera perfectly still. Maybe I'll invest in a well-reviewed point-and-shoot before my next trip.
