VERY informative site, free of charge and multilingual.

Contains significant materials from cultures around the world, including manuscripts, maps, rare books, musical scores, recordings, films, prints, photographs, architectural drawings, and other significant cultural materials.

I just went over and glanced over some of the documents. I especially like the high-resolution maps they have available. This site seems to be a much more reliable thing than wikipedia. When I have some more time on my hands I'll go delve deeper into the material available there.

Getting better and better the more I explore it.

Curator videos, entire ancient manuscripts the average person could never access physically can now be viewed a page at a time, in high res.

I enjoyed "thumbing" through the History of Genghis Khan, written in 1722 and the “Devil’s Bible” from the 13th century, complete with a full page illustration of the Devil.

Looks interesting; used to be I could only find things like this on sacred-texts.org, good to see it's getting easier to find historical secular documents as well.

You have a point there. Most of the threads are rather...retarded. Still, good job finding this site, although even Wikipedia mentioned it.

Well, I'll at least give you the benefit of the doubt and A) check The Symposium. You can't honestly tell me you'll find compelling discussion in the fucking Tavern.
