This is a thread for fans of "The Boss". Quite possibly the farthest thing from metal, but still good stuff. I think he has some quality songwriting abilities. So, what do you all think of this man?

Born In The USA was always a catchy hit. Alot of people don't know that Bruce was a fan of The Ramones and that he originally wrote the song Hungry Heart for them to record but was persuaded to include it as his own single.

I am a huge fan of The Boss - like, almost to obsession. Love everything he's done other than those two awful 80s albums (Tunnel of Love and Human Touch) and the last one. Too hard to pick a favourite record, though standouts are Born to Run, Nebraska and the first LP of the Live 75-85 boxset.

Saw him live last year, with the flu, still danced my fucking ass off.

Does any of that love extend to a band called the Gaslight Anthem - self-styleed Bosspunk - or is that blasphemy?

That's what it says on the back of my Hellhammer CD.

The thing about Springsteen, is that he's a millionaire, but people still think he works in a garage, changing oil in New Jersey. Blue collar millionaire!

My dad is a HUGE fan of Bruce Springsteen, so naturally I grew up listening to him. What can I say? He makes enjoyable music and I hope to see him live one day. My dad has seen Springsteen at least 7 times anyways and wants my brother and I to experience it in our lifetimes.

Most of the albums i've heard are great. Nebraska and Darkness On The Edge Of Town being my faves.

Both my parents really liked him. So I grew up with his music sagebear.

I have always enjoyed it. Don't really have a favorite album, but I know most of his songs anyways.

Some of my dad's friends have seen Springsteen 30 or 40 times, or even more.

Had to bring it up.

Atlantic City is one of my all time favorite songs. Really that should be enough, but I'll state the obvious by saying that I really dig him. Great music.

I should have put Darkness on the Edge of Town into my favourites. The guy has so many albums of pure win that you could just do a blind lucky dip into a sackful of his LPs and it'd be stastically likely that you'd get a fucking awesome record. If you got Lucky Town or Tunnel of Love then you're obviously just some sort of crap-magnet. I also love his first album, Greetings from Asbury Park, which is often overlooked.

I was disappointed that The Boss didn't play his best songs during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Coming from someone who loves folk-rock singer-songwriters (Dylan, Tom Waits, Zevon, et. all) I could never get into Springsteen. Same with Neil Young. They both seem so plain and uninteresting to me.

If anyone is actually curious, I am not a fan of Bruce Springsteen nor could I even name a single fucking song by him. I got the name after Ross The Boss, Manowar's finest guitarist.

Interesting. Hell, if I had your username, this thread would flatter me as well.
