6-12 months ago I watched Norwegian Headbanger's Ball on MTV and they played a hardcore song that I'd like find out what was. I can't remember any lyrics, song or band name, but I remember the video. I'm pretty sure it was "pure" hardcore punk. It wasn't metalcore anyways.

The music video was somewhat humorous. It was a bunch of people "dancing" various punk/metal "dances", and they all had names. When I say "dancing" I mean stuff like headbanging, moshing and various kicks and weird moves. I'm pretty sure most of it was serious moves/"dances", but I think it had a humorous twist. Each clip had as I mentioned a name, that appeared on the screen while they performed it. I can't remember any exact names, but it was something like "The twister", "The bullypopper", "The screwdriver", "The moshpit", "The face smasher" etc. Everything happened inside a building. Not sure if it was a living room or at a concert.

Does anyone have any idea what it could be? I don't think the song is that old, most likely from 2000-2008, but I guess it could be a little older.

Oh shit, I remember that song. Damnit who was it by though? I'm tempted to say Murphy's Law but I'm not entirely sure.

The last good album released by ANY of those bands is like bare minimum two decades back. This is a loud version of Antiques Roadshow.

That was no bad.

I still fail to see how the modern -core has moved from this to being whining dorks with hair on their eyes and designer clothes with the sole purpose of making them faggy. It makes no sense.

Thank Hot Topic for that one. I wouldn't call those types of bands hardcore anyways. Like metal, hardcore has a lot of good modern acts, they're just obscured by the trendy ones. I think metal fans' opinion of the hardcore genre has fallen victim to the mainstream as well, in thinking that those particular whiny scene-cut bands are the be-all-end-all representation of where hardcore is today.
