If anyone has listened to her first album called Katy Hudson (Christian album), she can actually sing.

I was surprised she could hit notes. Plus, she wrote/co-wrote all the songs herself. That's pretty impressive, and here I thought she was just another lame pop star. Well, actually she is a lame pop star now, and she needs to show the world her talent instead of singing like she's running out of breath before the song even starts.

Anyways, is there an artist/band that you dislike heavily at first because of lack of talent but then later realize they had talent?

A good example of this (for me) is Nokturnal Mortum. I first listened to NeChrist and thought they were horrible. Then I listened to Goat Horns and Lunar Poetry and realized these guys aren't as talentless as I thought they would be.

Well, from her shit on the radio she's probably the most auto-tuned voice around, sounds very unnatural.

Finley from italy are a very famous pop band, I dislike them but I must admit they are good at playing guitar. only the vocals are lame and the lyrics retarded

John Mayer, that dude is actually not bad on guitar when he plays bluesey stuff. His lame soft pop/rock sucks though.

She sounds like John Arch on 'I Kissed A Girl'. I shit you not, listen to 'Traveller in Time' - it's all there. Man, I would so do Katy Perry if she looked like John Arch...

If you want to talk about pop stars, there are better forums for it. You won't even have to stretch to tie it in with metal to make it acceptable there.
