Used to be great at chess, wonder if I still got some skill left.

I just want to say this is the best Chess website I have ever seen. So much information and the daily puzzles are excellent as well. I'm trying to get my dad to sign up so we can play some games as well while he is at work and I am at school.

Yeah I was in Amsterdam and couldnt get to an internet cafe. Sorry. I had a game with Suechtler that ended too. Back in action though. Obviously.

So I finally decided to join up. The name I'm using is Skyreaver, corny I know but I was using this name when I played online when I was a kid so I decided I'd continue to use it.

sorry guys, i don't think i can host this anymore...

my grandpa passed away a couple of days ago and i haven't been able to attend to anything online since due to all the family matters... which means a lot of my games on chess.com timed out (and I haven't been able to move the active ones even as i type this) and my timeout ratio shot up to way past 5%... which means that I can't create tournaments anymore until it goes below 5%...

i just felt i had to explain. looks like i'll be taking a break from all the chess for now.

but someone else can host it for the M-A group... it doesn't have to be me. i hope one of you guys can run it eventually.

Condolences. Don't worry about us virtual folk, there'll be plenty of time for us and the chess tourny in the future.

Agreed, I lost both of my great grandparents this summer so I understand, take whatever time you need.

Ah, that's not good to hear at all . Your grandfather is far more important than online chess so take as long as you need.
