Hello fellow metalheads.
I've been trying for some time to find a proper song to use as a ringtone on my cell but I can't get satisfied with what I try (mostly because it's too noisy and gets annoying pretty fast) so I thought I'll just check what others are using.
So if you use a metal song as your ringtone, please just share the name of the song.
If you use a segment from a song which is not just the beginning of it, please mention it.

I had Children Of Bodom - Bed Of Razors as a midi ringtone on my old nokia for like 3 years and I think it's a great ringtone.
Later on my new sony ericsson I tried the following as mp3's ringtones:

I have Slayer - Raining blood as mine.

Mine is the chorus of Inis Mona by Eluveitie. Makes me want to sing along rather than pick up the phone

I could never really find a good metal ring tone. Currently I have Eye of the Tiger as my ring tone.

I had Nattestid I, by Taake.

Just go to myphonezoo.com, sign up, put in what phone you use and the service, your number, then upload any mp3 and cut out a 30 second clip.

Voila, ringtone.

I have tons of ringtones, and set personalized ones for different people that call me. Working for a Finnish phone company = awesome.

Some of the more produced bands, really. Having some underproduced Emperor song through cell phone speakers is pretty shitty.

I have 2 Minutes to Midnight by Iron Maiden for certain calls, Colony of Birchmen by Mastodon for most calls, and Shackler's Revenge by G'n'R for texts. I like them all pretty well.

I can't get custom ringtones on the phone I have now, but it was "White Power" by Skrewdriver. I got real nasty looks when my phone went off in class.

on my phone i currently have the intro to my apocalypse, just wish they had more stuff from other bands besides metallica

It was Dream Theater - Innocence Faded, but is not anymore since my phone fell 3 meters and ... yeah.

Just open the song in audacity and cut the part you want, amplify etc.

I used to have Omnium Gatherum - Writhen, and now I have So Did We by Isis.

FACT: No one in the world wants to hear your silly custom ringtones. Be a man and just use one of the ones that come with the phone.

I have the theme for The Office (US) as my ringtone.

I did have Death - Crystal Mountain but recently changed it to Anterior - Human Hive.

I had the intro to Atheist - No Truth however my current phone has currently been castrated of the ability to use custome mp3 ring tones.

My ringer for default is Spheres of Madness by Decapitated. Except when my Mom calls me. Then it's EVH's Eruption.

Or just put it on silent.

I have Napalm Death - You Suffer as my message tone. It's perfect for that.

Unchain The Wolves is my ring tone.

Therein lies the problem. My phone's vibrate function does no longer function, and when it did, it was hardley adequate to alert me to a call. Shitty phone I know, but still. And the default tones are rediculously stupid.

I have Holy Diver as mine right now, but I may try to make a custom one sometime soon. Though its always cool when I'm standing in line for a concert and suddenly my phone starts singing Holy Diver. Everyone goes, "fuck yeah, Holy Diver."

Mine was "Master of Puppets" for a very long time until I decided to look for some more ring tones on Sprint's ring tone network and I was able to find "Twilight of the Thunder God" off of Amon Amarth's new album. I am very pleased with the section that they chose to use and the quality.


I used to be a member at a site where you could create a ring tone out of any MP3 that you have using various programs and my ring tone at that time was the Benny Hill theme. That was about 4 years ago.

Battle Hymns! It's an awesome metal song and it doesn't sound overly obnoxious when it rings.

But my text message alert is a different story, I have the Howard Dean "Yeeeaaah!" when my phone isn't on silent. One time I got two text messages in a row in history class and I'd forgotten to put my phone into silent mode, that was not one of my better days

My first mobile phone was one of those you could compose your own tunes. Among the tunes I programmed in were the main riff from Emperor's "I Am The Black Wizards" and the jazzy riff halfway through Carcass' "Corporeal Jigsore Quandary".

My current phone has Ozric Tentacles "Kick Muck" as the main ringtone, and Swans "Blood Section" as the text tone.

I'm not one of these people who changes tones all the time, I find one that works and stick with it.

I have Decapitated's "Spheres of Madness" as my ringtone. My ringback tone is Vivaldi's "Four Seasons"

I have Powerslave by Iron Maiden... the chorus. I really like it and on that odd day when I want something else I've got It Was A Good Day by Ice Cube

I use the opening riff to Layla (Eric Clapton). I used some software to rip it from a CD, and clipped the rest of the song off.

I've been wanting to do some nice death metal riffs, but I'm just too lazy.

The beginning of Infectious Hospital Waste by Demolition Hammer is my ringtone.

I believe AT&T. That was the only Morbid Angel song on it.
