With 2016 just a few of hours away in Australia, let me share what I'll be doing:

Spoiler: show

Okay, not too interesting, but I do have to work tomorrow morning. I doubt I'll even see midnight!

How will everyone else be celebrating? Does anyone have any resolutions? Mine are to lose weight, kick ass at uni, and rid myself of a few personal issues, so we'll see how it pans out. Plus also discover lots of new metal.

Happy new year, Metal Archives. :)

Me, I'm too stupid to add a photo here, so I'll just tell you how I'll spend the eve: Will be writing a paper (on transculturalism, more or less) over the next couple of days, starting today. Trying not to get too annoyed by all the rockets going off later tonight. Copying albums from MiniDiscs (source material courtesy of youtube) onto tapes. Occasionally reading a few pages of S.King's The Mist for breaks. Apart from more mundane activities, that'll be it.

I'm currently still in the middle of a Motörhead marathon and intend to continue it on through the new year. It'll be accompanied by copious amounts of bourbon. Never been much for resolutions so I don't have any of those.

I hope so, because nothin' can be worst than the smoulderin' ruins 2015 gave to me my family and friends.

Huge good luck to everyone of you out there, all the best, keep safe & stay well.

I've just had the best new years I can remember. Went day drinking with Smoking_Gnu and a friend from work cause I thought I was going to have to work Friday. Then the boss called and told me I could stay home. So after Gnu had to leave me and said work friend spent the next four hours in a quiet little bar having a great time. Made a brilliant friend tonight.

As for resolutions well I'm not much for them but I will make one this year: find happiness.

It's going to be a great year and I hope you all have as amazing of a night as I had.

I spent my New Year's Eve in Seoul with some friends. Had a few beers, ate some delicious Korean soldier stew, had a few more beers, then went to the main Buddhist temple in Seoul to hear them bang on their giant drum, ring their giant bronze bell then shoot off a bunch of fireworks, followed by people dancing around playing all kinds of drums and gongs and stuff. It was really fun and a lot more interesting than the boring "go to a bar, then to a club" evening I had a year ago. Here's a photo:

That's one awesome temple.

I played Minecraft and had three beers.

Here it was just spending some time with family.

Got quite some resolutions though: orientate for upcoming studies, find a temporary job, get my drivers license and take my hobbies more seriously.

Another New Year's Eve come and gone. House full of friends, lots of beer, liquor, and whatever anyone else brought, and a dog that was pretty sure the party was all for him. Alabama kicked Michigan State's ASS all up and down the field.
We kept it going until about 3am, and looking around now, I realize that I have a project on my hands. This house ain't getting unfucked in one day.

Oh no! I didn't see this thread

Merry Christmas and a happy new year everyone, way late ha ha
I was at work right through, just with Mon/Tues off so yeah worked xmas eve, xmas day, new years eve, new years day etc
It's actually awesome because where I work is desolate so there's nobody to annoy me and I get time and a half plus a day in lieu for stat days

Resolutions?

To use up some annual leave days and have an actual holiday, although I hate 'going out' so this seems unlikely to happen, I'll stay at home and chill
Start lifting weights again, can't believe it's been 3 years since I put the dumbbells down, I started doing cycle crunches and crunches a couple of months ago though
Thin out my music collection a bit, just stuff I no longer play/wear/use/look at
Hit up my boss for a pay rise and stick it to him so he says yes again but actually hits the button on it!
Observe less gentlemen's entertainment... started this a month ago, I don't care what anyone says, porn is bad for your mind

Failures and odd stuff

called Dad after 7 or 8 years to make amends on xmas day and was told he didn't want me calling there again so that was a bit harsh
potentially move house
figure out what this chick 'at work' is all about on/off/wtf mixed messages
I need to buy some stuff too - phone, clothes, maybe new audio gear turntable upgrade etc somehow I'm saving heaps of cash so yeah

and finally resolve this huge issue with my live-in ex girlfriend/friend/flatmate/it's complicated/person who owes me $6000 in rent/bills etc

*cough*

I worked Christmas and New Years, as well, but I got double time and a half. Sounds like you got shafted, although my pay is fairly average so you probably still got way more than I did!

Pornography is bad for the mind and for the libido, so yeah, I need to stop watching it, too. :|

Sheesh, that was really harsh! I'm sorry to hear that.

You lead a very interesting life, apparently.

We made cioppino and had wine, watched Planet Earth and listened to illegal fireworks and hollering. Went to bed at 12:30. Happy new year from the olds.
