That song wasn't very good but it was still better than the other one. I liked that bouncy riff that opens the song but the vocals just neuter any possibility of the song being good. The strained cleans and yells and screams wouldn't even make the cut in Slipknot. More than ever do I miss the old Suicide Silence. :(

you probably heard of Crank That by Soulja Boy that is awful, but I Set My Friends On Fire covered it with terrible screams and it is just the worst thing I've heard.

I am not a fan of them at all, but caught them when they opened for Cannibal Corpse. I was surprised how good they were live. Tried a few times after the show to get into their music without any luck. They really killed it live though.

Apparently their singles were so bad, fans are now petitioning to stop Suicide Silence from releasing their album.
http://www.rocksound.tv/news/read/fans- ... -new-album
http://loudwire.com/suicide-silence-fan ... new-album/

I knew they were pretty damn disappointing deathcore, but this is overkill.

Actually, no, this is overkill, but that got a snort out of me.

This is just ludicrous, in my opinion. The new Suicide Silence tracks aren't very good, but actually going out of your way to create a petition to stop the album's release? You're right that it's overkill. Nobody petitioned Morbid Angel not to release Illud Divinum Insanus despite the departure it was. It just seems super petty.

Well nobody knew based off the two singles 'Existo Vulgore' and 'Nevermore' what else was on Illud before it's release.

I'm personally not losing sleep over Suicide Silence being shitcanned by their supposed fans.

I was in a used record store in the early 90s. This tape really intrigued me. I listened to it there and the "music" of a blender started playing. Through headphones this sounded absolutely terrible. This artist took household items and turned them into music. Blenders, lawnmowers and anything else that could be obnoxious and mixed into a "song." Cant remember his name, but I believe he was on Century Media records. I like a lot of terrible music, but I don't know who the fuck would want to sit around listening to this. Takes all kinds I guess.

That Suicide Silence song led me down a youtube rabbit hole that culminated in this:

:puke:

lostprophets + Owl City + 30 Seconds To Mars + Nickleback

I genuinely can't understand how someone could think Nicki Minaj or Ke-dollarsign-ha is worse than this.

Starset sounds like disposable melodic fluff but it's hardly as ear-grating as glowstick raving/cobbled-together songs like Sound The Alarm/Starships.

I agree with darkeningday. Nothing worse than that particular brand of lethargic alt rock/pop. It embodies the absolute low point of creative expression.

I like Starset. Totally substanceless sure but the atmospheric bits are great.

And yet they managed to produce absolutely nothing worthwhile with "real" instruments. At least the Minaj song manages to get stuck into your head. Not that it's a good song, but it does reach the bare minimum of being somewhat catchy.

I dunno really. That Starset did nothing for me at all while the Nicki Minaj tracks mentioned are actively offensive to my ears; so I'd definitely call the latter the worse of the two.

That Starset song basically just sounded like Generic Radio Rock from 2002, plus symphonic stuff and some synthwave for some reason pasted over top? I dunno, I've heard far worse stuff.

I'm not the biggest fan of modern radio-overly-friendly rock but Starset isn't too bad.

It's the vocals in that Starset song that are the final straw for me. T-Pain is less processed. Fucking Traced In Air is less processed. Then on top of that, the verse melody is almost a carbon copy of Owl City and the "symphonic" portion is basically a remix of that Katy Perry song Baba Luma mentioned. And then the "You take all of the pain away, away, AWAY (wayowayoway)!!!!!!" sends me so far up the wall I wind up in the Whirlpool galaxy.

At least Starships has a cool hardstyle chorus.

I am not a fan of Suicide Silence, but those guys destroyed it when I saw them open for Cannibal Corpse a few years ago. I was very surprised the entire front row was teenage girls. I actually think that is pretty cool. They aren't listening to the nonsense on the radio. Not my cup of tea, but Suicide Silence is pretty heavy, relatively speaking.

Suicide Silence are rather popular among the whole 'scene' crowd, who enjoy such -core stuff in general I think.

Also, boycotting an album? That's a bit much right?

Yeah, the girls all had their hair dyed pink and had bandanas in their hair. Hard to describe the boys hair. A very popular look though, that goes with pierced lips and usually dyed white. I can tell you one thing, the bassist was pervin out on some teenage girls, that were 14 at best. They rocked it so good I decided to check them out. I can't get into the music. Just terrible to me and I like a lot of terrible music. Completely unlistenable.

I see one on my way to school every morning (dyed hair, Suicide Silence & BMTH merch and all) and also such bands are still fairly popular, who else would listen to it?

I made it 1:05 into that. Mid-Life Crisis: The Song.

What good would a worst songs ever thread be without Infant Annihilator? They're not content with making their own shitty songs; they hafta butcher other (also terrible) songs too!

Great, just what we needed; a deathcore 'classic' with even worse production and vocals... and some stupid music video. What's the story behind this band?

They're an internet band whose stated goal is to just make music with every deathcore trope and cliche on display. They've actually said this before. This isn't even their first gay music video either.

A terrible song that I have heard, that I like is by a band called Suburban Lawns. They are labeled as post-punk/early new wave. I am a fan of both styles of music and don't hear that in the record I have by them. Terrible, out of tune sounding guitars with a singer who sounds like Yoko Ono. I came across them when I was reading about music Kurt Cobain liked.

My Facebook memories brought this thing back to me after a few years of forgetting that it existed.

Impious are a great band, but this is a total misfire on every possible level.

This is a truly deserving entry to the thread. It's one of the few I find genuinely difficult to listen to.
