I just checked that on the conversion site and it isn't as cold as I was thinking only about -30F which is still freezing balls mind you, and cold enough for me to call off work. I'm with BH on this one if it gets below shorts weather I tend to piss and moan a lot, probably living in Chicago is a bad choice but oh well.



In parts of America, like the south, they are unequipped for winter weather as well. In places like Texas when it snows everything and I mean everything closes and people just don't leave their houses. The highway departments don't even have snow plows down there, hell they don't even have salt trucks they only use sand.

Isn't using salt on snow pretty bad in any case? I think it's banned in a few European countries if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know about snow, but the second our government decides to ban the use of salt on the dutch roads in the winter, people WILL start to die.
