^ I'm not Jewish but I'm Iraqi (born in Iraq) and the hair is like basically similar. We also share some ancestry with Israeli Jews but that's another topic... When it is windy, very hot or cold and dry outside and my hair is shorter, it basically poofs into some form of an afro. :/

I call that a "ghost afro" and I'm no stranger to it.

Oh I'm familiar with a jewfro. And that's completely legitimate when your hair is short and it just stays like that.

But for me and a few other people with super long hair you can still get this weird afro made of just frizz that is kind of see-through and faint. Hence, ghost afro.

I've always been very interested in last names. Obviously we're not born with them, so at some point your family has to have done something to earn one, or they decided on an appropriate name for themselves. Some are obvious too like when you see some people with a last name that's also a profession. I don't know, that stuff interests me.

Metantoine: I don't know, but I found this old picture of me with very short hair. Guess it's good for comparison? Mannn I totally looked better when I had that wicked tan. I miss my tan from my summer marketing job. It doesn't look so dark there but I think that might've been early on.

I've already made my feelings known so I'll just say this: you only confirmed that you're going to pull it off really well with either short or long hair.

The only product I ever used when I had long hair was conditioner (which isn't expensive, even if it's not from the dollar store).

Just let it set in your hair a while. Or only buy stuff that says "ebony" somewhere on the bottle.

Ok, Rattus, this may very well sound kind of wierd, but you look A LOT like my mother, when she was young. A lot. I sorta found a resemblance in your previous pics, but dude, in this one with short hair, you look a lot like her back then! Do you happen to have any pic with short hair and glasses? That'd be like "OMFG!!!! WTF!!!??? O_O" times one million.

shouvince: no, I never get that. Tina's definitely on the substantially thinner side, and doesn't have the obvious semitic features I have. I've gotten stuff like "Anne Frank" and "Ayn Rand." I agree with the Anne Frank comparison the most.
Beer Baron: my mother is an Iraqi born to Armenian parents and my dad was a Chaldean Iraqi, AKA from a bloodline with mixed Chaldean features between the original Iraqis, but technically they're as Iraqi as any other ethnic group with a long history there... Kind of complicated, and I don't think anyone cares for the details.

Well I haven't posted anything in here yet. Here is a picture of me with a friend last night at a bar. Not looking very metal here at all. Finally got a beard going though without shaving it off first as it tends to look like crap while it grows out.

Harry Potter has to be the #1 character/person I've always been compared to. Interesting to see it hasn't changed now...I figured maybe my changed style of dress and hair would have alleviated those comparisons, but in that pic it's still pretty close.
