The fact that half of those stunts are also actually dangerous as hell makes it better. That one article on Cracked that pointed out some of his particularly pointlessly masochistic stunts was great.

That's the one I got that fact from :-P He nearly burned himself alive in that movie.

Edit: "Armour Of God" is over. What an amazing film, even for Jackie Chan. Action movies like that just don't get made anymore. Huge recommendation. It seems pretty obvious to me that Indiana Jones was his main inspiration for it. Oh, and he also nearly died while doing a stunt for this movie and has a hole in his skull because of it

Speaking of Jackie Chan, anyone ever play Jackie Chan: Stuntmaster? That game kicked serious ass when I was a kid. Beating people with paint rollers and what not. *sigh* Fun times...

I'm gonna chip in with some Jackie Chan love. His use of props was always stellar- that fight in First Strike when he takes on a dozen guys using a ladder kills me.

This is the pain meds I am on for my toothache. I feel high which is a sensation I haven't had before from meds and the pain has gone down a bit but not completely. Hopefully enough so I can sleep and that it lasts a long time.

I've always wanted to see Armour of God. Haven't been able to find it yet. Armour of God II: Operation Condor was the first Jackie Chan film I ever saw, and I absolutely love it.

I hope you have you set up an appointment with a dentist if anything. But I also have to wonder if your city has emergency dentists you can get in contact with? I had to do that once when it began to effect all aspects of my life. I have lived through quite a few terrible toothaches so I sympathize you.

I am seeing my dentist on monday morning. He just prescribed me some stuff after talking to his secretary on the phone.

Pity this only lasts an hour and a half. It said to wait 4 hours between taking pills but I could only manage 3 and took another.

Wat...there are people who seriously pay that much? Its a truly terrible drug medicinally and recreationally, I wouldn't pay $5 for a whole bottle, and I mostly mean the acetaminophen. :puke:

Well, to put it this way a gram of decent pot can also go for twenty here.

Any type of speed is all you can get cheap here, and well. Fuck that stuff.

Yeah, as well as vocals and artwork. The album's 3 tracks long, free mp3s and cassettes* with unique artwork for each. Gotta PM me for the album though, as it's not on the bandcamp in full right now.
And a better mic...?

Cheers, PhilFrog. I'm also putting out a noise album soon.

Hey Canadians, I'm trying to remember the name of a show that used to air on YTV. It was something I watched when I was a fair bit younger (probably at least 6-7 years ago). It was an animated show that basically stole plots from The Twilight Zone (I remember there was one where a guy got super paranoid about his car, put it in this massive vault, and somebody still fucked with it; I'm pretty sure that one was a verbatim copy of a Twilight Zone episode). They used to start (and/or end?) the show with "...true story. It happened to a friend of a friend of mine." Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about?

That is not a remotely reasonable price.

I remember Freaky Stories, I loved that when I was a kid. Totally forgot about it until it was brought up here.

Apparently it's because a lot of the stuff floating around town is purchased at a (sleazy)dispensary in Mojave who have oz for $350. I miss living in Washington. The land where psilocybe cubensis grow wild and grade a pot is as easy to find as a coffee shop in Seattle.

Also note this is primarily a military town.

You're telling me! It's been on constant rotation everywhere I go. Tracks like "Fingers Never Bleed", "Henrietta", "Devil And the Deed", "Demon Road"... They all give me chills! Its remarkable how they took such a more minimalist approach, yet still made something that sounds so obtuse and interesting. Especially with this one being something along the lines of a demented RnB album. I have "Folk Hero Shtick" stuck in my head right now!

EDIT: Also wish they'd have kept the guitar in Fragrant World, or at least given it a larger role. The title track, that is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vem_hCnKkaE <--- Sounded jawdropping here. Also really hope they release "Don't Come Close" soon; that one kicked ass.

Yeah, that one was insane, I've heard that one already, and I too think it's the fastest children's song. I also think that song will keep the record of "the fastest children's song ever recorded" for quite a while, if not forever!

You don't even listen to metal, or know much about it. Hunting down obscure bands just to be 'in' and liking noise just to be 'unique' does not make you cool or hip, just another pretentious twat. I could go on, but I wil save you the embarrassment.

In the past I've done it for five day weeks, and with some caffeine to get me through the morning, once I'm awake for a few hours I'm good for the rest of the day. Exercise (like running) doesn't seem to do anything to my sleeping habits, though it's often suggested.

I sleep generally 6-7 hours a night, regardless of situation (unless I'm crazy sick, which I rarely am) and work out for about an hour-an hour and a half a day. I think people do just fine with a little sleep as long as whatever they do is scheduled. The body adapts pretty easily.

Alaska?

I got a hairline fracture at a show I went to a few months ago on my elbow. It seriously hurts to move it unless I smoke my self to the point where the entire left side of my body is numb, or if I overdose on advil. All the doctor could do for me is offer prescriptions which cost an obscene amount of money that I don't have.

I've slept roughly 5 to 7 hours a night every day for a decade, with the exception of a single night of 8 hours on the average every week. And this is not really by choice, but due to the fact that my own time starts around 11:30 pm, and I need to be up at 7 am. Without an hour alone every day, I'd go completely ballistic.

I am a human wreck, and lack of sleep is the main reason. If you're proud of your short nights, go ahead and feel like a champion, but I don't quite buy your claims of not wanting or needing more...
