Hi all.

I have all the following, but could someone help me quoting them please? Some are stamped by Tragic Empire Distribution (Emperor and Thou Shalt Suffer), some are with a serial number (The Black and Thou Shalt Suffer).

Image

- Burzum : REH Demo 91 - 1991 [Picture]
- Demonic : Nar Morket Faller - 1994 [Picture]
- Diabolus (before it became Beherit) : Down There... - 1991 [Picture]
- Emperor : Wrath of the Tyrant - 1992 [Picture 1 / Picture 2]
- In The Woods... : Isle of Men - 1993 [Picture 1 / Picture 2]
- The Black (before it became Dissection) : Black Blood - 1992 [Picture]
- Thou Art Lord (members from Necromantia, Rotting Christ) : The Cult of the Horned One - 1993 [Picture]
- Thou Shalt Suffer (before it became Emperor) : Into the Woods of Belial - 1991 [Picture 1 / Picture 2]

I have no clue of the worth of all of the above before starting a sale, so I prefer to ask.

Thanks a lot.

Without seeing the actual tape, it would be hard to tell if this are legitimate releases or bootlegs.
The Burzum is almost certainly a bootleg as there are virtually no original copies in existence.

If you're lucky 10 euros a tape to the foolish on eBay, or I guess you could just mark them as original and then people will go nuts for them regardless!

Nah that's not my kind, to rip people off pretending it's real during it isn't.

Do you know any website showing how real ones look like?

http://www.neseblodrecords.com/demo.php

http://www.metalformaniacs.com/

there should be more sites available !
Help this guy out people !

I checked a bit onto your website, but how to be sure themselves have the "real" tape pictured? How to be sure that a band didn't use one brand only? I have these demos since 1998 / 1999 so I am amazed lol.

I can give you 15€ shipped for The Black tape straight away. Couldn't care less whether it's bootleg or not, I just want the music. Get in touch if interested...

NMR, check this thread: http://www.nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic. ... &start=450

Discussion regarding your tapes:

Humus wrote:
In the woods: looks exactly like mine, original.

Thou shalt suffer: different tape brand, but this doesn't mean a lot on old demotapes. However I checked the handnumbering and the "3" in my copy is written differently than the "3" on the inlay for the Metal archives tape. But once again, did one guy number all the tapes or did several people number the tapes?

The black: I only have the promotape 1992 and also there the handnumbering is slightly different. Doesn't help a lot though, as here we're talking about two different tapes...

Thou art lord: couldn't quickly locate my copy but the "RAKS" tape brand is one frequently used on Greek demotapes in the 90's.

manes wrote:
In the Woods can be worth 30 euros, if it also had the original flyer, which is glossy, up to 50 euros.
Demonic 20 euros.
Thou Art Lord: cassette is fine, card looks suspicious
Emperor is a boot
Burzum: I don't know but I would not buy it.

Hopefully this helps...

It starts to take form. Thank you to all. Thanks for some PM received, I put everything in standby for the moment though, not because I am after 10€, but because I would like to know exactly what I have between my hands. All my demos have been sold to me by an old member of the French group Blut Aus Nord (Ira, the bassist on the album Fathers of the Icy Age) who was living in the same district as me in Paris. Good ol' time ^^ I lost contact with him since 13/14 years though, I may contact Vindsval to try out something.

I registered myself onto nwnprod and looking forward to have my account validated by admins. In waiting, I will add 2 things :

1) Burzum demo has a serial #36 with a handwritten correction above it showing 46 instead, dunno if it worths something. We can slightly locate it into my picture on the top left of the paper. I think I will try to contact Varg for some infos about his demos (tapes used, how to check if it is legit or not), in hope he will have time to respond as my country is chasing him in court for no reason since he settled himself out there.

2) In The Woods demo has effectively a glossy paper.

In The Woods demo is original for sure, my copy (100% original) looks exactly the same to your...about the other demos, I can't say what is original and what is not, to be sincere.
