I want to go, but at the same time I don't want to go. I've never been to White River Amphitheater. I prefer small concerts anyway.

Sweet Lemony Christ, revisiting the majority of the "Maiden England" setlist, no less! Can't wait to see loads of Seventh Son material performed live!

Whats with the random stop in Sarnia? I have never even heard of this 'Bayfest' business, and they seem to only have Iron Maiden and Alice Cooper lined up to play. Anyways, I want to see Maiden live, so i'll choke down the ticket price and give 'er a go. Probably at the Montreal date.

Ozzy you had better go for me!

Closest thing I've seen to Maiden was Blaze Bailey a few month's ago here in Ridgecrest. Got to have a few drinks with the guy too, he was pretty cool. Drank me under the table, though.

I take it the PI after Philadelphia is supposed to be PA and not private investigations, I will be there. Maiden and Alice Cooper, yes please.

Anyone find out who is touring with them? I haven't seen Maiden since the Somewhere In Time tour and this excites me for some reason. Perhaps because it could be their last major US tour.

from the article:

Quote:
IRON MAIDEN are delighted to announce that the extraordinary and legendary ALICE COOPER will be their very special guest on all shows up to July 21. After that date, special guest will be COHEED AND CAMBRIA, the inspiring, cutting-edge band from New York.

Will definitely be at the Atlanta show. I have wanted to see them for years and with this setlist you would have to be a moron not to go.

Yeah, I nearly freaked out when I saw they're finally returning to Atlanta after 15 years, and focusing on my favorite Maiden album no less! This is going to be mind-blowingly great. I was starting to think I'd never get to see them, and lo and behold....

I'm kinda this way too, I'd love to go see Maiden, but I don't really care for seeing concerts at huge venues.

Holy fuck this had better come to the U.K! This was always one of my favourite Maiden periods. On a side note, around the time of the original tour from what I recall I picked up an official EMI cd version of "Maiden England" that came as a bonus with the VHS of the same, it is legit though it was never released outside the set and still one of my favourite live CDs by them.

^^Nothing wrong with the new material.

Good, though, to see them do a tour with a hardly played set list. I'll definitely be there June 30th.

Agreed, my reply was at peachpit's post, though in saying that I enjoy the earlier works a great deal more than the newer material, so I'm fuckin jealous of you guys if this tour does not come back home! You would be crazy to miss this.

:) sorry bro had picked you up wrong! I do understand people not liking the newer material though, in saying that the only period of the band I disliked was the Blaze era, music was still good, the vocals just ruined it for me.

No way I'm missing the DC date. I love how every time they've been to the US since 2008 there have been completely different setlists. It's definitely an incentive to see them again. Not that I wouldn't go if they were just playing the same thing again.

No harm, no foul. Yea I understand not liking entire albums (of the new era), but to write it all off is just silly. Well I'm an unabashed fan boy. I love ALL of it, though Blaze era certainly sees less play time.

What's up with the June 29th date? The Susquehanna Bank Center is in Camden, NJ, not Philadelphia, PA...

Regardless, I'll be there! :headbang:

Ah fuck, I meant the 18th. Buffalo would be quite the drive from Michigan.

it's actually June 29th. They always do that all the time since it is right across the river from Philly. Been to many shows there. it's not really a good venue though. Anyway, one of the best shows i have ever went to was there in '03: Iron Maiden, Dio and Motorhead. So freaking sweet.

I really want to see this show. I've seen Maiden 4 times already. Never seen Alice so i would look forward to that.

wow, great setlist, though I'm dissappointed yet again that they bypassed our town for an arguably less "hip" town like Salt Lake City. Now, I know, Salt Lake City is probably a very nice place, they got a very nice, um, outlet shopping mall there. But the ratio of metal fans to non metal fans there, compared to just about any other major city is rather small. I'm almost tempted to drive to Salt Lake City to see them- except of course I'll have to bring in my own booze (cant buy it in Salt Lake.) On second thought, maybe I'll go to the Auburn, WA show; it's only 3 hours further.

Not close enough. Damn. The one closest has a shitty opener..I am not really a fan of Coheed and Cambria.

:hyper: I am so there. Maiden + Seventh Son setlist + Cooper = WIN.

Also, people getting Coheed & Cambria instead of Cooper... Image

I'll be at the Boston date with some buddies. Let me know if I might run into you.

Edit: Comcast is like 40 minutes from Boston, they should just list it as Mansfield.

I wouldn't turn up for either Alice Cooper or Coheed & Cambria, but I WILL be turning up for Maiden on July 29th in Vancouver! Setlist looks prime, and I'll be interested to see what minor changes they make to it. Just replacing Still Life with Revelations would be perfect for me.
