Nashville rarely gets black metal so I'm super pumped for this!

Might try to catch Taake in Brooklyn. Already got a ticket for Nightwish and Sonata Arctica the night of the Boston show...

I was thinking the same, but I revisited Young and in the Way and they're a lot better than I remember. Don't give a ass rat's about Vattnet, though.

Is this the exact same tour as this past summer? Or was it cancelled? Either way, will have to catch em this time.

Yeah this was the one that was cancelled. Vattnet replaced Wolvhammer though this time.

Maybe, just maybe, they'll get let into the country this time, eh?

In any case, I've got my ticket for the Boston show.

Bought my ticket for Ottawa.

Wasn't too familiar with Young And In The Way, but found this: http://www.metalinjection.net/latest-ne ... everywhere Do they still use a lot of blood in their shows? Should I wear something that I don't mind getting blood-stained?

No Toronto...fucking blows. For a city this size there's been a real decline the last while in getting a steady flow of decent bands coming here. Seems more and more often now bands are going to Ottawa, Hamilton or London more than here when they hit up Ontario.

No Texas dates? How unfortunate, I would love to see Taake! And I've heard great things about Vattnet Viskar.

Ending the tour in NY. Looks like a must-see. March 5th is the day before I go on my ski trip to New Hampshire... might be an appropriate way to start off my vacation.

No idea, but I know that some dates are close to selling out, as NYC already has, so I'd advise people to buy tickets ASAP.

I'm definitely attending this in my hometown - Ottawa, ON, CANADA! What a treat! I haven't seen a great Norwegian black metal band to (dis)grace my hometown since 1349 & Marduk came here back in June 2012!

I'm ecstatic. I'll have my Norwegian flag handy with me too! I hope I can get Höest to autograph it for me!

Apparently this is indeed coming to Toronto, and next week! Still deciding as I'll have an early day the next day. Not sure yet although really would like to.

Definitely go. Taake was outstanding.

Also, Young and In the Way put on what might be the most aggressive, nastiest set I've seen.

Holy moly Taake was loud. And Hoest's vocals were insane. Legitimately startled me when he came on haha.

I didn't really pry too deeply into the merchandise, but at a glance it looked like Taake only had some hoodies and a few records and the rest of the bands had standard fare. Not sure about prices.

Taake had Hordalands, Taake, Noregs, and Stridens CDs at $15 each. Taake shirts looked pretty sparse, maybe 2 or 3 different prints? Wasn't paying much attention.

They were amazing in Boston. The show sold out, and I hope more sell-outs ensue so that he comes back for another tour. And YAITW weren't bad either. Had the pleasure of being shoved by their vocalist as he exited the crowd after their set.

Off the top of my head I know (think) they played Nattestid I, Bjoergvin IV, Hordalands II, Hordalands III, Myr, Du ville ville vestland, Nordbundet, Fra Vadested. Forgetting some others. Taake was on for about 75 min.

Thanks, I will have to go through their discography this week since it's been awhile. Hopefully someone will post a full setlist before Friday, I like to be prepared. Pretty cool to get Mgla and now Taake in such a short time :)

Taake kicking ass is to be expected. I'm more interested in whether or not the rest of the bands are decent. I checked out the local talent opening Chicago and wasn't impressed at all. Don't know anything about Vattnet Viskar or YaitW.

Man, one of the best shows I've been to in a while. Never heard of Vattnet Viskar, but they killed it. Savage but still with some cool atmospheric shit. YAITW were one of the most intense bands I've seen. The music was awesome and the frontman was just losing it. It was annoying how it took Taake an hour to get on because they all had to put on their corpsepaint and whatnot, but really fun set. They had good energy and just the right amount of theatricality without it getting silly.

I saw you holding it in the front row. Readymade upside-down cross! Did you manage to get his autograph? I saw Taake exit through the front of the venue immediately after their set, but I didn't follow them right away and by the time I was outside they were gone.

On the merch: VV has both vinyl and CDs, YAITW has just vinyl I think, and Taake has just CDs. Taake CDs were $15 in Ottawa too, despite the weaker Canadian dollar– I was expecting them to be $20 based on the $15 US price. YAITW's gatefold clear vinyl LP was only $15 too, pretty nice deal. On the other hand, the basic Taake T-shirts were $30, which seems like a bit much. Hope I don't have too much regret not buying any shirts at this show.

I was planning on going late, but now I think I will check out those first 2 bands. Did Taake have actual tour shirts or just regular stuff you can order anytime? Not that it makes a huge difference.

I don't think any of the Taake shirts had tour dates. They're selling this shirt on the tour: http://www.tpe-merchandise.de/themes/ka ... efertype=8

Welp, Taake was probably the most badass band I've ever heard/seen live. My best friend's wife who had never heard Taake before fucking loved it too. Don't miss out on this one if it's coming to your area! I added a setlist for the Chicago show, but I'm not 100% sure about it if anyone wants to correct me or make an edit.

I posted this in the FFA this morning but yeah Taake was fucking killer man. If you get the chance go, you won't regret it. Only problem I had was stupid fucks moshing at all the wrong times, Ohh and getting punched in the face. That sucked too.
