Last year was a success, so Annick of Cauchemar and some other promoters are coming back with a 2nd edition. I'll be there for sure once again.

ADX and Barbatos! This lineup is hitting .400 so far, very nice.

The first headliner has been announced! I got my week end pass this weekend, this will be awesome. They'll play the whole The Nightcomers album!

I made it into town last year for the Sunday night post-fest to catch Midnight's second gig. Wicked city you guys have got; I'm ashamed it's taken me so many years to actually get over to it. Katacombes was an exceptional venue, even if it is a bit small. I really liked the intimate feel, but I can see the fest outgrowing it real fast. (You can see it starting already with the two-day passes selling out in a few hours) Then it becomes an issue of whether the promoters want to keep it intimate and exclusive, or go bigger. Both routes have their own merits...

The calibre and variety of bands this fest pulls in really makes it. I've been keeping my eyes on the Facebook since they started announcing bands, and it's just exciting to see what they add each time. I've been sold since Barbatos, personally. Sadly haven't purchased my tickets yet due to a tight winter budget. Hoping I can afford it after the next paycheck, and that it doesn't sell out before then.

I think you'll be fine with your next paycheck, dude! I personally can't wait to know the other bands, the wait is killing me. Annick loves the intimate feel of the venue and she's good friends with the owners so it won't change any time soon, for better or worse.

Yeah I agree with her. It's nice to have a small fest for once. The intimate feel really is there and it's easy to meet a lot of people (band members too, who I guess prefer to hang out with a bunch of maniacs rather than simply walk around the big masses). Seriously Manilla Road was that much better over there than at the MDF simply because it was in a small venue, just a bunch of maniacs going crazy and signing the lyrics. And it's a lot of fun too when it gets wild like with Midnight, very memorable despite me being very drunk. It's a very fun/friendly fest and it'd loose a lot of charm if it was bigger.

I don't mind keeping it small and intimate so much, but putting the tickets for sale before even announcing the headliners was a shitty move, IMO. Not sure whose decision that was, but it was a poor one. I still got the tickets, but I would have simply sold them if the headliners didn't appeal to me.

you can debate the actual date that metal began, but a fairly agreed upon date is 1969. Metal is almost 25 years old

Why Iron maiden is there? It's very far to be metal than a lot of some metal band.

Missed out on the pre-sale unfortunately. If anyone here from Montreal has an extra ticket, or could possibly buy one in person and send it to me by mail to Ontario, please message me!

Come and say hello (you can check my pictures if you search the forum or check these ones.)

Not sure I'll go to the after show though, 2 days of metal in a row seems enough for me!
