The first wave of announcements for Neurotic Deathfest just happened.

I'm excited for Suffocation, Misery Index and Aborted. Most of all I'm going for Cephalic Carnage.

I'm pretty psyched about Gorguts. Although with my luck, they'll be on a day I'm not playing. Same with Pestilence. It'll be cool to play with Suffocation again.

I'll be checking you guys out too, already got recommended to me by someone. Awesome music video btw.

Btw, ticket sales start on saturday 10:00 CET, if you buy them on saturday the ticket prices will be 75EU instead of 90EU. Just a little tip since it's expensive enough already.

I'm going to try to check out atleast one album from all the (major) bands playing, hoping that'll enhance the experience.

I'll get a early bird ticket. I am hoping for more new OSDM/caverncore/etc bands. Neurotic deathfest tends to ignore newer bands if they dont play bdm/slam death.
Mostly looking forward to seeing Skinless and Massacre as I've seen most of the others.

For the bands that you aren't familiar with, you can either do that or perhaps check out setlist.fm for a recent set-list of songs. I usually do that when it comes to a big bill of bands.

Neurotic Deathfest usually never disappoints.

Thanks! \m/

Also, I can safely say that at least a couple of the unannounced bands are fucking awesome. So don't sleep on this one.

This is the updated band list:

Mostly surprised by Despised Icon, didn't know they got back together. Good deathcore, I'm glad I can go see them.

It's a sad thing that such legendary band reuniting like God Macabre gets so low on the bill but a band that called it quits just a few years ago ends up much higher.
Cancer should be nice... All the other new announcements are shit.

Just as an example, God Macabre has 3,000 likes on Facebook and released just one album over 20 years ago, while Despised Icon has 164,000 likes and has released 4 albums. I can understand that you prefer God Macabre musically, but it would be idiotic to list them higher than Despised Icon.

Edit: I know Facebook likes aren't the best way to measure a band's popularity, since Aborted has a lot more likes than most bands that are listed higher than them. But I guess the point still stands.

Its still a band with fairly high status in the death metal underground that is reuniting and playing their first dutch gig.

Yeah, exactly. That's why God Macabre are way higher in the billing for MDF than Ulcerate, who've got like six times God Macabre's fanbase per last.fm but a) have played MDF/the US fairly recently and b) are an active, newer band rather than a recently reunited band with a ton of cult status that loads of people going to these types of fests are super excited to be able to see.

I guess you're right there. However, I would like to point out that another reason to put them a bit lower on the bill is that they don't have enough material to play for an hour.

I don't see anything conflicting so that's good, though I would've prefered if CC had a later timeslot, at the second stage if need be, because 15:00 really is too early.
