Man, I've been trying to figure out this DC date. The Pinch is just some restaurant/bar that sometimes has jell-o wrestling, and their website says nothing about an Absu date. Plus I see nowhere to buy tickets or when it starts or how much it costs.

Yeah their Chicago date is at a bar as well and it's super small. I'm really debating whether or not to go to this as I'm broke right now but it's sooooo cheap. And it's Absu.

Had a similar experience with the latest Obituary concert. It was at a bar in Quincy, MA I'd never heard of and they posted nothing on their website. I did a lot of scouring online and found out I could buy tickets from the promoter. The bar also had a posting on Facebook but with very little info or communication. I risked buying the tickets online, showed up, and they had my name hand-written on a piece of paper, no physical tickets. I'm assuming Absu are similarly playing at an oddball location. Did you try calling the venue?

At any rate, I'm upset I didn't see Absu when they played in MA earlier this year. The opportunity probably won't come by again any time soon.

They really play some fucked up places! Last tour date they did in Philly was some Italian restrant by Penn University, it's like wtf guys? You can play my backyard if you want and I'd probably pay you more money!

I haven't tried calling the venue, but as I said the venue doesn't have the show on their events calendar nor have they said anything about it on Facebook so I don't see anywhere to even buy tickets.

I thought Absu were pretty widely liked? I feel like they could definitely be playing smaller clubs or like DIY punk venues no problem, instead of these obscure restaurants that are barely even venues, haha.

Out of sheer curiosity, I looked for information online. You may have already found out about it though. So, the event page says 'donations strongly suggested at $12'

I've been to The Pinch once (Corsair played there in Sept.). The show will be in the basement of the place, which is a small space. I'd say it's comparable to the size of The Sidebar in Baltimore. I can't believe Absu will be playing there, but I heard that they've just been trying to stick with DIY spots that they haven't played before. I'm excited that I get to support this show and see them again since the Church of Misery tour fell through.

Love that Ottawa of all places is the only Canadian stop!

Anyone going to the Pittsburgh show tomorrow? I'm still kicking it around... Two hour drive for me. I'm not sure the ticket price. I've never been to that venue and I'm not sure if there's parking for a full size pickup truck.

Choices are difficult sometimes.

While the tour is over, I thought I must share this almost pro-footage from the Vitus show.
