If anyone has set list information for Amon Amarth, I would love to see it.

Here's Amon Amarth's setlist: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/amon-amar ... 58126.html

Fucking crap, if you ask me. The band has such a strong back catalogue which they just entirely ignore. Nothing from the first three albums? Only Death in Fire from Versus the World? Man, I'm glad I've seen them a bunch of times in the past because I really wouldn't be interested in catching that set.

Here's Enslaved's: http://www.setlist.fm/setlist/enslaved/ ... 580fc.html

Actually very good with the short time they have to deal with. At least all of those songs are very good.

Wow, Amon Amarth really is pushing their new material, huh? It seems like a likely continuation or extension from their Mayhem Fest set list. I'm sure I'll still enjoy the show but I'm getting tired Death in Fire representing their older albums; there's so much classic stuff to work with, why just throw in that one song all the time? Oh well.

I wish Enslaved were playing a longer set, but I'm thrilled to be seeing them. Still kicking myself for not getting tickets for last year's show.

Well, this is an album tour. Not unexpected that they'll be playing new songs. It is a shame that they won't be playing anything from their first couple albums though, I've always wanted to see Legend of a Banished Man or basically anything from The Avenger live... It sucks that Amon Amarth has so many great songs because nothing short of a three hour set would do them justice.

I guess I should have been clearer; by "new material" I meant not only Deceiver of the Gods, but Twilight of the Thunder God and Surtur Rising too. I still consider all of those albums new, and Amon Amarth definitely favor songs from them in their set lists. Of course, you've got a couple staples from With Oden on Our Side as well, but 13/17 of the songs they played in Las Vegas are from 2008 or later. All relatively new.

Was initially bummed this tour was hitting anywhere near the Northwest, then I noticed flights from Seattle to Minneapolis are only $200. See you guys there.

If your seriously coming all the way from Seattle you might as well stick around for Manowar the next night. If you can afford it that is. There's also a really cool local show the day before.

That would have been awesome. Unfortunately any other flights would have cost about $100 more and/or required time off work, neither of which I could afford.

I'll be at the Skeletonwitch show in New Orleans tomorrow. Anyone else going? No Amon Amarth or Enslaved. Just Skeletonwitch with Barghest and Six Pack opening.

Can't wait to see Enslaved, their playing a decent set considering how little time they have, but on a brighter side I saw an interview with Ivar on Blabbermouth and he said that they might be coming back in the fall to do a headlining US tour, so this would be fucking awesome if this is true!

Just got back from the Norfolk show. All 3 bands were good. Skeletonwitch were definitely better than expected, Enslaved were killer, and definitely the highlight of the night, and Amon Amarth were good, though I thought their set dragged on (although that could also be because I'm still recovering from a cold & hadn't eaten for like 8 hours). Overall it was definitely a fun show.

Enslaved stole the show. I can't wait for their eventual headlining tour, which is this year, hopefully. Amon Amarth and Enslaved seemed to be in really good spirits after seeing the Bruins game, and playing to a sold out crowd larger than they're used to in Massachusetts.

No chance. They just did a full US headlining tour less than a year ago.

According to Grutle Kjellson addressing the entire Boston crowd, it's in the works...

So the Chicago show for tomorrow night is actually sold out. That's pretty cool, I really can't wait to see Enslaved.

My friend couldn't get his ticket in time, but I can't wait to see amon amarth put on a set that's more than 20 minutes like their set at mayhem was. I'm not sure if we'll make it down early enough to hang Erosion but look for a sort of empty battle jacket with an immortal back patch

Heard about the show being sold out Should be pretty packed I suppose. And yeah, Enslaved is basically the reason I wanted to go.
I'll be wearing a battle vest with Death's "Spiritual Healing" as the back patch.

No shit, that was you with the Gorguts shirt? Hahaha, I was literally standing next to you at one point both near the bar and on the floor. That crowd fucking sucked. Lot of people smelled like pot and I can't stand that shit. Hardly anyone even knew who Enslaved was I think. I don't know if the bands stuck around to sign shit at all, which I was hoping they would, but I left early anyways. The crowd was getting on my nerves, and I was about to knock some asshole in front of me out.

Damn, I know what you mean, I'm sorry to hear that. The Watain gig I saw a few months ago had a terrible crowd. There were potheads coming and going and drunken moshers galore, not paying an ounce of attention to the band. Hope you enjoyed that show anyway!

The show itself was great. All the bands had a ton of energy. I came mostly to see Enslaved anyways though. I stayed all up til halfway through the Amon Amarth set and at that point my back was hurting anyways so I just left. Got a cool Enslaved beanie and patch out of the deal, so it's all good.

Yeah there were way too many fair weather amon amarth fans there tonight. I mostly went for enslaved too, they were great but I felt that to clean vocals were just bad tonight. Amon amarth was good but played for way too long and I got bored about half way through their set. I wish enslaved would have gotten twenty or thirty minutes of their set, it would have been a way better show. And yeah it reeked of refer and e-cigarettes which smell nasty as hell too so that kinda blew.

Yeah the cleans weren't so great, all in all though it was a good show, but I doubt I'll be going to another at House of Blues anytime again soon. Haha, I should have checked MA to see that was you wearing the Gorguts tee cause like I said I was standing right next to you a few times with my girlfriend.

I thought I saw you Erosion, I didn't see your new picture in time so I thought you looked like you did in the picture you showed me after the wintersun show.

Overall it was an awesome show, Skeletonwitch I thought was fucking great, and Enslaved had a killer set but both bands should have had a song or two more. I was able to get signed merch by both which was awesome. Amon Amarth was good but they are really milking their new album and all their trend songs. Varyags of the Miklagaard and Last Stand of Frej were awesome to see though. Overall, aside from being really dehydrated the whole time, it was a prettygood show. I really can't wait for enslaved to do a tour now, and I'm going to try and make that behemoth show coming up.

Also, did anyone notice that chick who was fighting with security at the coatcheck after the show was windmilling her tits to guardians of asgard during amoan amarth's set? My Friend pointed it out to me afterwards.

Hahaha no I didn't see that. Yeah Amon Amarth were good and tight and all but their set just felt lackluster. I'm hope full that Enslaved will do a proper headlining tour this year. Skeletonwitch didn't do it for me though, not my cup of tea.

So, my thoughts on the Minnesota date:

Skeletonwitch destroyed. Remind me again why they aren't headlining their own tour? Too bad they only played thirty minutes, they should have been given some of Enslaved's time.

Enslaved was meh. I do enjoy me some proggy Enslaved, but following after Skeletonwitch's high energy performance was a poor choice. They performed well and all, but the only time the crowd (and I) really got into them was when they played Allfáðr Oðinn.

Amon Amarth killed it. I've seen plenty of live footage of AA and they were at the top of their game. I don't know what the hell you're talking about, Erosion. They didn't choose their best songs and played too many new ones, but they still destroyed. I almost caught one of the picks Olavi threw but I fumbled it and it and I'm pretty sure it landed in a trash can. Oh, and they played Asator which I think was the only time so far on this tour, so that was cool.

Ehhh different strokes for different folks I guess. I know I'm not only one who thought amon amarth's set was too long either. I dunno maybe it was just the Chicago show, plus they were way too bass heavy for the first part of their set but that was most likely the HoB's fault.

My take on the Minnesota date:

Skeletonwitch was indeed awesome, they're definitely a good fit for the bill. They focused a bit too much on older stuff which I don't like as much but they put on one hell of a show.

Enslaved killed it as always, despite the microphone going out for a bit and not playing anything off Vertebrae. Would have loved to see Clouds or Ground again live. And always cool to hear Alfather Odin live, a song they wrote when they were like 15, and have people get into it.

Amon Amarth had probably the worst setlist I could have imagined. They played almost the entire new album, which is without a doubt their worst effort. Asator, Death in Fire, Blackbirds and Pursuit of Vikings were amazing, but other then that the set was entirely forgettable and like other people said it was just too long. Nothing will ever live up to the Evening with Amon Amarth tour they did a couple years back.

Also the beer Surly made specially for the show was extremely disappointing, didn't taste anything like an IPA. But now I'm just being picky. All in all, definitely worth flying out from Seattle for. Great weekend.
