http://www.metal-archives.com/labels/Ea ... apan/30173
Do they really have nearly the same name but different parent companies? Odd

Another odd Japanese example:

http://www.metal-archives.com/labels/EM ... apan/28627

Can someone check this please:

I have also written some reports. I had the liberty to do so.

You can just choose one label and add a double space between each word.

I've asked another user about them.

Merged.

That was the best way to deal with a dumb name.

I've dealt with most of them.

Thanks ...
the last report is a bit confuse ... and Discogs has no information on the bands.

edit:
is it possible that the admins make a query on labels with no information (entries, add notes, links) etc.? I discovered some empty entries yesterday ... and will probably be more.

A tricky one:

does not help much:

Might as well mention what I'd suggested in our messages too, I think it could possibly be a duplicate entry of TriadZ which is the only other label they were known to have signed with. Besides TriadZ they were also with Extasy (X Japan's label), Columbia, and 413Tracks. But aside from those four, they weren't know to have been with any other label, which makes me believe it's a clone of one of those four, which one I'm still unsure of though. I'm going to get some sleep and investigate some more tomorrow. ;D

https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOKYO_YANKEES
-> 1996年6月21日「THE BEST OF 東京ヤンキース'93~'95」(コロムビア) -> 1993年10月コロムビアミュージックエンタテインメントよりメジャーデビュー。

which brings us to:
https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%82%B3 ... 3%E3%83%88

日本コロムビア株式会社(にっぽんコロムビア、NIPPON COLUMBIA CO., LTD.)
http://translate.google.de/#auto/en/%E3 ... 3%E3%82%A2

Does this make sense?

which would be this:
http://www.metal-archives.com/labels/Ni ... abs_albums

because of the other entries at the Wikipedia page:
# 1993年10月21日「GHOSTRIDER」(コロムビア)※メジャーデビューアルバム
# 1994年9月21日「VACATE YOUR USELESS BRAIN」(コロムビア
# 1996年6月21日「THE BEST OF 東京ヤンキース'93~'95」(コロムビア

TriadZ is a sub-label of the Columbia (コロムビア).

There remains one question: English / Japanese --- English --- Japanese
Which of these?

*Slow claps* That fits perfectly with the time frame in which they were under Nippon Columbia, Holmes you've done it again. :P

The one with only Akira Takasaki under it with the parent label Warner can be fused with the first one which also has more bands under it. A search of Atlantic records states that its parent label is Warner, but the label is also written in the style of the first link one and not the second.

I might as well contribute my own few labels I noticed are a bit suspicious. Here's one with the same name and from the same country.

Avex is a major label in Japan, the first link is a duplicate entry, the second is the real one, and the third is the same as the others, but was added as their corporation name for some reason so that can be removed too.

Such labels are purged every once in a while. Only orphan labels attached to bands that were not submitted stay a bit longer.
