So while playing EuroTruck Simulator 2 (!) I randomly had the radio channel streaming Gothic Radio CZ. There was a song played that was pretty standout. It was in a non English language (I'm gonna take a stab and say it was a Czech band?) and had a woman singing. Seemed to be more to the side of atmospheric goth music with a bit of metal element thrown in.

If anyone would know anything that it could have been that would be awesome, or anything similar that I might like, though I'm not holding out for much as it's not normally my style of music choice.

Could be Interitus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pLDs3IWQhuo

They had several different female singers, so it won't sound all the same.

However if it wasn't really metal, it could have been Slovak band

The only band I can think of that might be close to this is Silent Stream of Godless Elegy. They sing in Czech and have a female vocalist, and their music is kind of doomy and a little gothic, but they are probably more metal-oriented than what you're looking for.

Have you checked if the radio channel list what it's playing? Then you could probably just find the date.

yeah its way past that. If I'd been on to it I would have checked it at the time. Realistically no-one here would've been able to tell me what I was hearing, I was really just fishing for similar recommendations.
And so far I've come up with one pretty solid one, cheers samekh.
