I am looking for something like the middle part of this Steppenwolf song, but in a more metal framework (solo starts around 2:09):

Solos like this are pretty common in jazz and prog rock, but I'm looking for something more metal in the other parts of the song. Not restricted to any style, but I think it is more likely that this will be progressive metal.

I am aware of Iced Earth's "Something Wicked pt. 2" from Framing Armageddon, but it is not what I am looking for. I also know Sepultura's "Kaiowas" and the stuff from Roots.

I've seen Mike Terrana live with Tarja, and he does some interesting solos, and apparently has played in a lot of bands, feel free to recommend some songs with his solos.
