My favorite bands right now are:

Vektor
Obliveon
Hexen
Havok
Exmortus

I'm really picky about the vocalist, a lot of people recommend me Voivod but I can't get into their singer. I like some things from the Teleport demo, and I like the old Chemical Breath album Fatal Exposure. Any bands out there like these? (especially the first 3: Vektor, Obliveon, Hexen)

Mekong Delta are quite technical and progressive - not particularly sci-fi, but a great band nevertheless. They've had a few different vocalists over the years but their earlier stuff (The Music of Erich Zann, particularly) I think is more what you're looking for.

I'm gonna recommend Asmodeus (Cze) because their album Sabbat v Carnegie Hall is a fantastic progressive thrash album. Haven't a clue what they sing about though... Just pretend it's sci-fi!

The unsung heroes of sci-fi thrash FUNEROT.

The Stranded in Time EP is my favorite but I'd also recommend checking the Invasion from the Death Dimension LP and the NOVA II LP. Very unique sounding thrash and a killer band.

Nice! I had them recommended to me before, but never listened past a song or two. Vocalist is kinda iffy, but there are some sick intrumental tracks on their 2010 album, and the singer sounds alright on a couple songs from your album too. I just bought like 5 of their songs off itunes. Haven't gotten around to the other stuff yet, will post when i do.

I like this vocal style! hard to find harsh vocals on what i'm looking for. I prefer vocals like these. Very technical and scifi too. Thanks.

I often recommend Danish band Lob of Lemmings for an obscure addition to the sci-fi/prog thrash department:

Check out Prototype's latest album 'Catalyst' for some excellent progressive thrash. They are Kragen Lum from Heathen's other band and the album is a sci-fi concept story. Vocals would not be harsh as the likes of Vektor etc but it is definately well worth a listen.
