I genuinely don't have any idea what bands have ever used harps, so I can't post any starting points besides maybe very early Hellenic black metal that used harps as an instrument. What are bands that used harps in their albums either prominently or to get effect in songs, I'm interested in all styles of metal it doesn't matter.

Thing is, Suicide Silence actually are more sonically massive than a good 95% of all the death metal bands in the Archives! Not metal, sure, but definitely a lot more brutal.

Some folk metal bands use what's called a "Celtic harp." Furor Gallico does in their self titled album.

Funeral/ambient Doom band Celestiial use a harp on their albums, but it's mainly reserved for interludes rather than integrated into the Metal songs.
