This is going to sound cheesy but Im looking for "inspirational" Metal to workout to. Lyrics like in the song Number 1 by Manowar:
"The time has come all the training done
The muscle and the blood will come to pay
Let the game begin hear the starting gun
Play from the heart today we will overcome
When the game is over all the counting's done
We were born to win number 1"

or the song The Power:

"I've got the power to fly into the wind
The power to be free to die and live again
This power's like fire, fire loves to burn
Make the world a grave of ashes in a urn
The power in the darkness to see without my sight
The power of the magic the power of the spell
Not to serve in heaven but one day rule in hell"

Preferably Power Metal or Heavy Metal, but it doesn't really matter the sub-genre as long as the vocals are somewhat understandable and it's upbeat.

Well I'd imagine most Manowar would fit the bill.

When I workout I like faster thrash (Slayer is a go-to), or some hybrids (Skeletonwitch & Goatwhore, while not 100% fitting your criteria, are great for clangin and bangin). Shit, just Iron Maiden would be great as well.

Yeah, I usually listen to Thrash or Hardcore(punk) when working out, but im looking for something more "happy"-cheesy sounding.

Can't believe I didn't think of Iron Maiden haha, thanks. But the lyrics are not that "inspirational", I'm gonna give it a try anyway.

There's quite a lot of cheesy power metal bands about strength and power, but there's usually a sword or some dragons involved.

But maybe Made of Metal by Dream Evil. This band has a ton of cheesy songs, so you'll probably find something more if you look.

Or maybe something by Hammerfall? Like Life Is Now.

I'm not sure I can cater to "understandable lyrics" unless you've developed a bit of an ear for death-metal, but whenever I work out, the soundtrack is Vader, Vader and more Vader. The abrasive riffs have a great balance of ferocity and swagger, which really lend them to the act of lifting weights, while enjoying it.

I find Satan's Court In The Act a good album for working out. It wouldn't be my first choice, because I prefer thrash metal, but I find it's consistently up beat and energetic, and it just sounds like music about having energy. The song "break free"always gets me pumped.

Sabaton should be an obvious one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5V6sxZ8 ... 1364412224

Very cheesy and, well, it takes that empowering approach in songwriting for the most part.

MUSICALLY i think anything from the "redneck" Pantera era will fit your needs properly
i mean...i you cant work out to "Mouth for a War" or "Fucking Hostile" ya better dont work out at all (?) jaja
i also enjoy working out to epic music like Ensiferum and its battle/shield stories, the epicness of the music
its an instant uplift.

Not a big fan of Pantera, they are kinda overrated in my opinion. Not a fan of "redneck" music either.

This song sounds happy/upbeat prog/power metal and fast enough to work out to, and it was released this month
DGM - Reason https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7-YIZhwvKI
Not sure if the lyrics fit couldn't find them

Happy sounding instrumental metal

Hehe, "Number One" is in my workout list, too (as are many other ManOwaR songs).
But I can't really think of other songs with that kind of lyrics. However I do have some
recommendations when it comes to music with an upbeat and "workout inspiring" sound.

Here are a few songs/bands from my workout list:

Majesty (and Metalforce, a name they used for a short time before switching back to Majesty)
A Manowar clone, yes, but sometimes a fantastic one. Esp. their "Sword & Sorcery" album is
quite a masterful copy of Manowar's "Kings of Metal" sound.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gLgg4cnlZYc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qgBnDQ80IWY

"Warriors" by Freedom Call is a real cheese fest but I can't help absolutely loving it. Yes,
probably 90% of all metalheads are turned off by FC but, well, who cares?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzir1B43I3E

Ironsword is coming along with some classic, epic metal somewhere between early Manowar,
Omen, early Maiden and the like. However they do add some roughness and sometimes even
have some slight thrashing influences.

Viperine now is yet another band playing in a similar way to Manowar you might enjoy. No
real "workout lyrics" but you possibly enjoy the music itself:

I personally also find some of Månegarm's songs to be quite suited for lifting weights.
Many of their songs have a kind of "beat" which goes very well with working out. Maybe
not your preferred genre but have a try:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=icj3NKngKus

a short mention of Bathory's viking era now. You possibly know them but anyway...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rc6YROJbW4w
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4bAQUy1GkY

some of the old Carnivore songs also "do" it for me. hehe, manly stuff, you know
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K-xhPPJHl7s

Oh, and I assume you know Sabaton? yepp, also cheese filled stuff but upbeat and "stomping"
as hell. Some songs:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AvRZxn7e3hc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrJAwCBbnuc

Ok, now to sth completely different. Though I love working out to metal, to me (honestly)
there's nothing better than über-cheesy 80s pop/hardrock/aor stuff. You know, all this
Rocky, Bloodsport, Top Gun, Iron Eagle, Karate Kid kind of music.
Here are three fantastic ca. 40 minute long "mix-tapes" filled to the brim with pushing
songs which lyrically let "Number One" sound like a children's rhyme :-D
Push it to the Limit! Yeah! No Guts, no Glory!

Sabaton is good. Bathory has been good for me in the past for jogging, so I'd imagine it's just as good for weights. Death metal is a no-go for me for weight lifting usually, but Death isn't so bad, really anything with some sort of progressive styling in their riffing is pretty good for me. I've had some of my best workouts to stuff like Suicidal Tendencies in the past, punk fused with thrash just seems made for the gym imo.

The newer Helstar stuff is pretty inspiring in a gym...try King of Hell.

I personally tend towards d-beat / kangpunk stuff like AntiCimex
