This is an odd request I know, but basically my walk up to uni is around 25 minutes depending on how quickly I walk. I mostly have full length albums on my phone, so never finish them in the walk. I can carry on during the walk back, but after a 2 hour lecture the atmosphere of the album is kind of broken.

I don't want anything shorter than 20 minutes or longer than 25 minutes basically. So no 9 minute grindcore releases, I know there are plenty of those. I'm open to most genres really. Here is my last fm if it helps: http://www.last.fm/user/johngebreadman

5ive's Continuum Research Project - The Hemophiliac Dream
The band is also known as just 5ive (no not the boy band, this one http://www.metal-archives.com/bands/5ive/14202 :)), and "The Hemophiliac Dream" is their, 23 minutes long, instrumental interpretation of Pink Floyd's song "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun"...and a good one it is. The album itself clocks at 36 minutes but the second part is just James Plotkin's synthetic droning which isn't particulary interesting so you won't be missing out anything if you don't listen to it.

Well, there's Wormphlegm's demo, but that's 32 minutes in length.

Fuck the police.

If you want some doom, check out:

Cathedral - Soul Sacrifice
Capilla Ardiente - Solve et Coagula

For 80s traditional metal, there's Black Knight's (Can) EP Master of Disaster. If you want to find a physical copy, you'll only find it with a ton of bonus tracks, called Black Knight, with the release clocking in at about 55 minutes, but you can always just quit after the 5th song (which is the end of the EP).

There's the debut Mercyful Fate EP, only found on The Beginning comp if you want a physical copy. You could just quit after the 4th song (the end of the EP). But the track order is different.

I see Slayer, Darkthrone, and Mayhem on your last.fm, how about Merciless' "The Awakening" - ripping black/thrash released by Euronymous himself. It's 27 minutes long. Their demos are around 15 minutes each.

Gorefest's two demos are around 18 and 20 minutes each, and those are the band's best works IMO.

Since you didn't mention much about a specific type of music, I recommending checking out some old split albums and albums where the two halves are strongly differentiated. The two halves of most of Rush's early albums would fit your walk nicely (2112 and The Founain of Lamneth?) as well as Integrity's "Humanity is the Devil".

Here's a couple of underground classics for brisk walks:
Hellwitch - Syzygial Miscreancy (25:32)
Vulcano - Bloody Vengeance (23:23)

And Reverend Bizarre - Slave of Satan CDS version (20:59) for something slower.

You've probably heard of this one already, but Wormed's Planisphaerium is just above 25 minutes.

The new Dammerfarben is only 30 min long, and it's a great album to listen to while walking. http://www.metal-archives.com/albums/D% ... fad/344719

Blotted Science - The Animation of Entomology (instrumental progressive something - 24 minutes)
Elder - Spires Burn/Release (stoner - 23 minutes)
Cannabis Corpse - Blunted at Birth (death metal - 23 minutes)
Agalloch - Faustian Echoes (folk/black - 23 minutes)

I love Asphyx' Crush the Cenotaph EP, and it's 21 minutes and 29 seconds. Make sure to get that one.

Abominable Putridity - The Anomalies Of Artificial Origin
this album is way better than all their previous releases. It is Brutal Death metal with some slammy parts but they aren't super slow slammy parts they are more groovy.
