I'm looking for bands similar to Stormlord. Symphonic, and epic, not like Bal Sagoth, or anything like that, but it somehow meshes the aggression of black or death metal and the melodic keyboards.

This is sort of what I'm looking for

can't go wrong with the earlier albums of Thyrfing, namely "Thyrfing", "Valdr Galga" and to a certain extent also "Urkraft". Sure you could label them "just" as viking metal, but I think they could suit your request...

Maybe new Dimmu Borgir stuff. I prefer first two albums of DB than this but you may like it.

Oath Bound is so bland, with only one good song (I think we all know what that is) Summoning only really has two good songs, and those are Over Old Hills and Land Of The Dead, the rest are pretty disposable.

That being said: Wintersun and Ensiferum.

You can't just pan Summoning and then recommend complete garbage afterwards, its just not right.

I'm embarrassed to a part of a genre that contains Wintersun, Ensiferum and their ilk.

Also, try out Abigor's Nachthymnen
