Hi there,

Kamaedzitca, a belrussian pagan black metal band (a great one btw), has some songs on their albums
coming along in a somewhat Oi-like way. Lyrically not sooo top notch ("We are going to the gym -
Straight Edgae Sport") however musically having a quite catchy and infectious approach thus sounding
not as "uffta-uffta" dumb like the Oi I know.

Do any of you guys know other bands in this way like in the links here: ?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dmZQlGY8pYc (kind of Pagan Oi Rac? ;) )

Thanks,

pengpeng, the Grimgirl :D

edit: Bonus points for bands who sing in eastern european languages...

Pagan/RAC is how I think of them, too :)

Estonia's Urt is the closest comparison I know, with that same kinda vocal (though Metsatöll have their moments, too.)

Ukraine's Rusich is the only other one that comes to mind, though their vocals are a lot weaker.

Sweden's Månegarm have some epic as fuck pagan vocals. it's not RAC, but I'll often play them along with Kamaedzitca, as they have a similar powerful proud mood to my mind.

oh, and you might like fellow Belarusians Litvintroll. more similar musically than vocally: compare a "Беларускiя НС" to a "Купалинка"...

but, vocally, they do have their more RAC moments:

Thanks. I know Rusich (quite okay more or less) and I already am in love with Månegarm since many years (one of my alltime fave bands!).
Gotta try out Litvintroll and Urt and get back to you after that. Btw - do you know Piarevaracien? If not - try them out. Fantastic stuff (esp. their debut album).

so, I listened to the songs you've posted (those bands I didn't knew before only, of course). Thanks again. They were a bit too folky and too less oi/racish but nevertheless enjoyable. Any more ideas?
