Hello! I am looking for long pieces of music that could be used for mediative purposes that don't really come to mind when you think about music for mediation. I really want long trippy pieces of music that create a trance in which the listener could lose themselves. I want music I can lose myself in.

Examples of what I am looking include:

Pink Floyd's Set the Controls for the Heart of The Sun.

Tool's Reflection
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ja3LGFY1i0o

Om's At Giza
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCc9kvSIAqI

Be sure to ask questions if what I am looking for isn't very clear. Thank you!

Not that long, but still very trippy.

Miles Davis - In A Silent Way: ambience, fusion guitar licks and melodic, contemplative horn to a funky drum and bass rhythm. BIG FUN is his best stuff in my opinion but it goes heavy into the intergalactic oneness build it up to an orgasm jam session stuff

Storm Corrosion - Storm Corrosion: very trippy, had vocals so may interfere with an introspective mindset but very hypnotic and calming.

Jean Luc Ponty - Cosmic Messenger: this one has it all: space rock guitar, fusion violin shredding, a funky rhythm section and tastefully epic compositions. Wahoo.

Alice Coltrane - any album: fucking wonderously gorgeous harp and synth and sax shit with fat bass grooves and drunkit monsters abound. Pick an album.

John cage - in a landscape: if you listen to this long enough the room around you starts to dissipate.

Philip glass - glassworks, solo piano, dracula, concertos: mandatory contemplation new age angst music.

My sleeping karma - soma: like an instrumental tool, with no balls but some fun excursions into trippy drippy wonderland.

Popol Vuh - Nosferatu: my personal favorite meditation album.

Black math horseman - wyllt: this one is trippy, introspective and HEAVY.

Swans - to be kind: this is truly SEARCHING music and deserves and spot on this list. Their best album yet. Dense, focused, immersive, visceral

Saltillo - monocyte : when the introspection turns bitter
And the trippy goes digital.

Shigeto - what better time than now: when the introspection turns lonely, and the trippy turns spooky.

Ah, thanks for the replies my friends. I will be sure to go through these suggestions. And of course, keep the replies coming if you think you can contribute more music.

Some Afghan rabab (sometimes spelt rebab or rubab) might be of interest. This album by Essa Kassimi is one of my favourites.
