There's Cascadian black metal, which inherently relates to the cascade range area. So are there any metal artists that belong to similar "scenes" in their own mountain ranges? Sounds kind of dumb, I know, but I'm curious if there's like, Alpine Black Metal, you know?

Ha, I actually had heard of them and have their LP. Didn't realize they fit what I was looking for, though; never payed attention to where they from when I heard of them.

But I decided to search them on YouTube and found Sturmpercht in the related section, some Alpine folk band. Pretty good stuff, so, thanks for reminding me of Rauhnacht, lawz.

Here is a blog dedicated to the intersection between metal and mountains, a subgenre that I call Bergmetal and which continues in remarkable ways the history of mountain symbolilsm, modern and premodern.

Well, the term Cascadian Black Metal in itself is very pretentious. There's quite a few Black metal bands from Seattle such as Slutvomit and Nekro Morphosis who sound absolutely nothing like Alda and Addaura.

If your looking for that particular sound from other regions though I highly reccomend Panopticon.
