Hey guys, I've been listening to Demoniac lately, and I kind of like them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXk1V2aD ... re=related

Are their any similar, better bands with this kind of sound?

Check out "Carving a Crimson Career" by Brimstone (Sweden), which is basically mid-era Running Wild with black/death metal vocals.

Early Children of Bodom is kind of blackened power metal. Not the greatest band, but their first three or four albums are alright.

Can you tell me more about why Children of Bodom is blackened? Same thing with Brimstone.... seems to me like they are really, if anything, "deathened".

Catamenia's later material takes on a blackened power metal approach, especially with the addition of those clean vocals. Their best and most refined approach in this style is Location: Cold - full of songs with upbeat leads and shredded vocals. Just noticed on the band page that the entire line-up sans the original member has been scrapped.

This was the first (and only) band to come to mind.
