So since I'm new (and metal in its vast entirety is fairly new for me as well) I don't really have that great of a knowlede of quintesetial bands that every metal fan should know. I enjoy at least ope band from pretty much every sub-category metal has to offer, so I'm not too terribly picky or srtrict on what i consider "good" or bad" metal ( i kinda of just judge it on how much i enjoy listening to it). so yeah, if anyone can sugest some good stuff, that'd be excelent.

You need to develop your own tastes. Thanks to the internet, metal is already pre-masticated; you don't need it spoon-fed to you too. Go read reviews for bands you like, and see what people compare them to. Go listen to random metal bands on Youtube/Myspace until you hit on something you enjoy. Go read threads on this forum and see what bands people are talking about. You should have a nice big list in about five minutes. Also, go learn English.
