I was listening to Septicflesh and I was thinking how fucking awesome they would be if there were a few things different. Is there a band very similar to Septicflesh except with lyrics in German or a Germanic language and someone who sounds alot like the vocalist of Septicflesh in terms of pitch and delivery? Or maybe Till Lindermann-esque? I would also like if there was more of an epic feel to the songs and maybe more solos then I get with Septicflesh. Sorry, one more thing, longer songs too.
Much appreciated.

I think you have to be more specific about which point in Septic Flesh's career you are referring to, since they evolved quite a bit.

I would assume it is the material off of the "Communion" album, as it is the first album that jumps to mind. I cannot think of any recommendations though, aha.

Perhaps Preisser could give us a YouTube link to a song he is particularly fond of, maybe then I could help.

Try Garden of Shadows. They fit all the criteria you're looking for, except the vocals.

Seconding Garden Of Shadows, and also recommending Depresy. However, the first 3 Septic Flesh albums are without peer.

I recommend mexican Demolish, very atmospheric death metal. They only released demos.

I reccomend you get their previous album Sumerian Daemons. If you are looking for music that sounds like SepticFlesh than try Septic Flesh. It is about as similar as you can get.

Actually, I don't find much similarity between old and new Septic Flesh. I enjoy both, but they are a totally different listening experience for me. And if I'm in the mood to listen to a Septic Flesh album, it'll be one of the first 3 I reach for first.

Sumerian Daemons is similar to Communion in style. The first three are much more symphonic but nowhere near as heavy, but they have the quality vocals ala the newer material. There are a couple albums in the middle that I never heard, A Fallen Temple and Revolution DNA, so I can't speculate on what they sound like.

Sumerian Daemons is a mandatory purchase for you though.

All of the recs have helped and I have enjoyed them,so thank you but I want this stuff in a Germanic language. I love the way it sounds. Is there any really good symphonic metal bands that speak a Germanic language?
