I'm looking for any new bands with that Psycroptic, Necrophagist, or The Faceless feel to them, any suggestions?

Sickening Horror
Except they have actual songs, and don't change tempo as much ridiculously

Decapitated
Yet again a band that is incredibly technical, but actually can bridge their technicality
With memorability and intensity

Arsis
All of their albums sound like what your looking for

Oh and to ween you off of this safe modern stuff, check out some Immolation, Suffocation, Oppressor, Atheist, Ulcerate and Cryptopsy.

I love how people just jump into conclusions about someone's tastes within death metal through a simple fucking request. "Safe stuff", eh. Tell that to the band that wrote "The Unspoken King".

And that comes from someone who deeply admires Crytopsy's earlier efforts.

About the topic: Deivos (check their latest, "Gospel Of Maggots"), Godflesh Apocalypse.

Lost Soul (Pol). They're fairly technical, and they have a big spacey sound that I enjoy quite a bit. Check out their newest album.

How are Psycroptic like the noodly bands such as Necrophagist, Spawn of Possession and Obscura at all? Seriously, apart from the genre tag they have nothing in common. They're not a shreding solo band, or a scales band, they're a string 150 meaningless riffs together randomly in a song band. They're closer to Nihilism-onwards Decapitated, Emeth, Beheaded, Cryptopsy (Whisper Supremacy, And then you'll Beg), Azarath, the first Decrepit Birth etc.

We should really further categorize tech death.
