I gave Asphyx's "god cries" a listened and found a few of the songs are very punk influenced. I was wondering if anyone has come across bands with a similar sound to this album. If so it'd be great if you posted.

Heres the song I found most punk influenced. hope it gives an idea.

Definitely Abscess (USA) and Autopsy's album "Shitfun". Bonesaw (UK) also did a split with Abscess, they are almost an Autopsy/Abscess worship band.

check out skincrawler, one of the projects of elektrokutioner (the drummer of decrepitaph)...very punky old-school dm.

Impetigo has a cool punk influence on their less doomy stuff. Boneyard is definitely a track that comes to mind.

Been getting into a lot of stuff like this lately. Check out Mammoth Grinder's newest album, Stormcrow, Sanctum, etc.

You'd probably also dig more overt crust stuff like Skitsystem.

Edit: And Nunslaughter. Everyone should listen to Nunslaughter.
