I have been listening to Siebenbürgen a lot lately and they sing a lot about vampires and I think they are great.
But does anyone know about any bands that uses werewolves in the same way in their songs?

Thanks

porhati

Vokodlok I think have lyrics about werewolves. I know the name comes from the Slavic word Vukodlok which means werewolf. They are a black metal band. I have the demo Unchain the Wolf somewhere which I remember being decent though I remember the album being pretty dull.

I know of a few individual songs about werewolves, but not any bands who focus on them to any great extent.

Bal-Sagoth's "Of Carnage and a Gathering of Wolves" is one of the most awesome songs the band has ever done, and it fits this criterion.

Legion of the Damned wrote some songs about werewolves. And there's always Winterwolf's Cycle of the Werewolf.

Lord Vicar's debut EP, Demon of Freedom, is based on a book by a Finnish authoress and the book is based on a werewolf fable from the island of Hiiumaa in Estonia.

THANK YOU. As I was scrolling, all I could think was "If nobody mentioned Timeless Miracle I swear I'm gonna track 'em all down and curbstomp 'em". But yes, the juxtaposition of the dark, grotesque lyrics with the hilariously fluffy flower metal is incredible, one of my favorite bands in the genre.

Also, Type O Negative's 'Wolf Moon', Pentagram's 'Wolf's Blood'.

Nobody's mentioned Stormwitch yet? They wrote a number of good traditional metal tunes about werewolves, from "Werewolves on the Hunt" to "Slave to Moonlight". Both good songs, found on good albums.

Although many might not like them, The Black Dahlia Murder has this song called "The Blackest Incarnation", wich is about a werewolf wreacking havoc around. Even if you don't like their style, one got to admit that Trevor is a great lyricist.

The Finnish Deathrash band Winterwolf have just released their debut album after 10 years! They are a side-project of Deathchain and so have links to Demilich as well - bite down on that!

Old school SDM-style goodness with a concept album about werewolves

Satanic Warmaster has many songs about werewolves... the guy is even known as "Satanic Tyrant Werewolf".

"The Burning Eyes of the Werewolf" from the debut is an example.
