Honestly, I would suggest the first Napalm Death album Scum. It's grindcore and not black metal, but I'm surprised at how similar they are when it comes to the drums and vocals. Deathcrush is more experimental and has better metal riffs, but they give me the same type of atmosphere generally.

Thanks, but I'm obviously aware of that album, also: I'm looking for black metal albums ;)

Have you checked out Parabellum's Sacrilegio yet? It's a lot more raw than Deathcrush, but it has that similar messy and abrasive sound of the latter.

666 (Czechia) - Nekrofile - https://youtu.be/FXrEpmGYsFg?si=EzRuYekxqed4eTZi
Outrage (Germany) - From Nightmares and Myths... - https://youtu.be/Cae9kN7Nbe0?si=ZBvg7IQ_od7-SAwO
Ceremony - Ceremony (1993) - https://youtu.be/8eSIJTBhU6Q?si=iMbr1leO1TJaGcXK

These are all raw and fairly thrashy slices of early black metal I think fans of Deathcrush would appreciate. I especially reccomend 666, as their brand of first-wave BM from Czechia was the birth of the scene there and gave way to bands like Root and Master's Hammer.

Linked the albums so you can get a sense of what they go for. Hope these help!

What are the bands and albums that have come out between 2009 and the present that any self-respecting blackmetaller should be aware of?

Perhaps too many. This thread contains quite a number of them. I have just blinded into "UADA – Cult of a Dying Sun" and I feel bad for not listening to this earlier.

Hmmm, are Ruina anywhere close to what you are seeking for?

A separate question from my previous one; are there any bands/albums that use a similar style of background vocals as Burzum's 'En Ring Til Å Herske' and 'Snu Mikrokosmos Tegn' from Det Som Engang Var?

Ah, you should try Midnight, Sarcófago and Aura Noir, for sure! I also recommend Embraced and Castrum, they definetely bring a very specific atmosphere that you'll probably appreciate, too.
