I recently got into homeade instruments, and I'm searching for metal that incorporates homeade instruments. I would prefer if they were acoustic, but as this is metal I understand it probably won't be.

Not exactly the best that metal has to offer, but, apparently Five Finger Death Punch's lead singer's previous band had a homemade instrument that replaced the bass. I can't remember what it was called exactly, and I'm fairly lazy at the moment, so I don't have an exact name, but I'm 99% sure it started with Moto...
Porbably not relevant to your request, but it's a start I guess.

Behold... The Arctupus

The guitarist has a homemade 12 string guitar. I think they call it the war-axe or something.

Viraemia has an 10 string home made bass. I'm not really a fan of theirs but whatever. Here's a link to the bassist playing it.

Indeed it was. More of a hard rock band, but quirky enough to be interesting. Worth a look, I'd say. Much better than the shit FFDP put out imo.

I know The Heavils used interesting, custom guitars:

But I can't vouch for their music. They are also here on the Archives.

Not metal, but Sleepy Time Gorilla Museum use a lot of home made instruments. They sound really weird.
