I wondering, has anyone come across music that features an eletric guitar that isn't rock/metal related?


I'm thinking something in the vein of:

-Pure folk
-Tribal
-Spanish flemeco
-Ambient
-Really, any genre of music not related to rock


What doesn't count:

-jazz/fusion
-blues
-rock
-metal
-noise
-ambient metal
-industrial
-hip-hop
-pop
-techno
-Santana



I don't know if this exists, since electric guitar is generally concidered inseperable from rock music, but I want to know if it DOES exist, and if so, are their any good examples?
