Hello fellow metal heads, I could use some help. Lately, I've been getting more and more into the Finnish and Swedish early 90's death metal scenes. What I'm looking for is that 'ancient' sounding production, light use of blasts (mainly for emphasis of the heavier parts), heavy doom-style riffs for added color, etc... I'm digging Abhorrence, Rippikoulu, Depravity, Grave, August Moon, God Macabre, and so on. Lyrics, or themes of nature would be a definite plus.

I dont know the finnish scene, but there is a nice compliation CD put out on Swedeath. Add Centinex to the list on the link, and you have enough to keep you going for a week at least. Nihilist and Merciless are the best probably
