I've listened to a good amount of Crossover Thrash bands, such as Carnivore, The Accused, Suicidal Tendencies, M.O.D., S.O.D., Acid Drinkers, Corrosion of Conformity, Cryptic Slaughter, D.R.I., Lawnmower Deth, Ludichrist, Municipal Waste, Nuclear Assault, Prong, Wehrmacht. While I truly enjoy all of these aforementioned bands as both Metal and Punk bands, a number of bands labeled "Crossover Thrash" don't feel as Punk as they should be.

Recently, I've discovered a band called Aversion, bringing in a decidedly punker sound than most Crossover Thrash bands without losing too much Thrash Metal. It could be that I'm blase and, in turn, lost my ability to discern the Punk sound in these bands, but nonetheless, I need my fix of Punk just as much as I need my fix of Thrash.

If you could tip me towards a few bands that sound as Punk as they sound Thrash, let me know.

As a side note, NO "Thrashcore" or any such crap.

Under Al Kritik from Denmark. They play a very 80's sounding style of crossover, with slightly more focus on the hardcore parts than the metal parts. They've evolved into this sound, however. They used to play "real" hardcore, which they don't anymore.

They're not on the archives, last time I tried to add them, they got rejected for not being metal. Wouldn't say that is fair in any way, but I digress.

Have not listened to Aversion before, but judging by the rest of the bands you like you will prob enjoy SSS (Short Sharp Shock), a modern band who captured the 80's crossover sound excellently, especially their first album.

First, I'd like to thank everyone for their recommendations. In particular, thanks to avi_paranoid for reminding me of the Cro-Mags. They're another band I listen to which has a decidely more Punk sound, but nonetheless, Thrash can be heard.

Another band I've been getting into is Uncle Slam, especially the album Say Uncle.

Agnostic Front's 2nd and 3rd albums show a hardcore band playing crossover, Cause For Alarm is awesome.

Crucial Unit should be of interest.

Some people would say Toxic Narcotic's crossover, i say their just hardcore/crust, but give them a shot. One of the angriest bands ever and super fun to sing along to.

Dayglo Abortions - Feed us a Fetus. Cross-over flavoured punk with joke shock lyrics that make my inner 12 yr old smile.

Recently a friend of mine recomended Pro-Pain, this sounds like slowed down version of Cro-Mags to give a vague comparison. Thought u might dig them too.
