I like crossover bands like Municipal Waste, SSS, and DFA, and am looking for something similar to these bands. The vocal style is the most important aspect that I look for in different Crossover bands.

I don't like the higher screechy vocal style of some crossover bands like The Accused, and I don't like SOD or DRI because it sounds unrefined and the vocals seem a little high pitched and prepubescent to me.

Please help!

how is it possible you like municipal waste but dislike DRI? MW have turned into a complete DRI clone completely over the past couple of years. their music has drastically changed from tango and thrash days.

if you're looking for just new crossover, look into bands like A.N.S. and Kobra Kommander, they are essentially what municipal waste would sound like if they were still good.

also, cryptic slaughter, wermacht, at war, dream death, attitude adjustment, genocide, and blood feast are essentials.

Not really a fan of Municipal Waste's new stuff man.

Edit: Also I can't find either of these bands on MA or youtube, save for one poorly recorded live Kobra Kommander song.

No problem man, their singers a super good friend of mine and they are way due for people to get into kkthrasshattack. How can you not love a band that only cares about partying and beating up fix gear bikes! too rad. There's talks of a magrudergrind split with them in the near future so that's gonna be super big for them!

Cryptic Slaughter is awesome (as pointed out before), especially Money Talks. Guillotine (Swe)'s Blood Money and Pitiful Reign's Visual Violence should also suit you well, especially the COMPLETELY FUCKING AWESOME former.

yeah definitely check out crpytic slaughter and wehrmacht.

might also wanna give war ripper a chance. they're more on the crust side but they came up in my mind when u mentioned harsher/deeper vocals. it's joel grind's other project.

Not a metal band, but check out Agnostic Front's Liberty and Justice for some good aggressive crossover.

Doesn't have harsh vocals, but great album. Seriously, everything by AF is excellent, including the two new ones.

Check out Stress Factor 9. It features Randy Rampage. (vocalist on Annihilator's Alice In Hell) Good crossover thrash band.

The Killbotz might be what you're looking for. A bit less "full-speed ahead" than some crossover bands and a touch more melodic, but they've still got a great thrash/punk mix going on. Songs like Belroy and Children Of War are particularly awesome. Their vocalist sounds like a harsher version of Greg Graffin from Bad Religion, so the lower pitch range is definitely there.

You can get a free copy of the demo just by asking them online, and they should have a new EP... sometime in the future. I dunno. It was originally supposed to come out early/mid December, but it's still in limbo. But hey, free music!

THRASHGRINDER!
Municipal Waste, who? Thrashgrinder slays, and will slay even more in the future. I'll be looking forward for their debut album since the demo is already top class.

Edit: forgot to mention they have some grind influences and also I think they sound like a thrash/crossover version of Demolition Hammer :metal:

Zombie (the US one, they're on the archives) and Sacrificial Blood. Both done a split, and they're both outstanding. I believe Zombie now go under the name "Warbringer" or something similar.

1. Don't list
2.explain your choices
3.Don't list
4. Most of that is hardcore/power violence, not really what the poster wants.
5.Don't go through your itunes listing every single band under one genre

They're vocals are pretty high and screechy though.

Check out
Beowulf
Beyond Possession
Crumbsuckers
Broken Bones (F.O.A.D.)
Impulse Manslaughter
Verbal Abuse
Ratos de Porao

None of them have screechy vocals
