I've posted this request two other times but didn't get much action, largely because I dont think I was sufficiently clear about what I was looking for. Third times the charm I'm hoping.

I want death metal vocals which are "wet", "gargling" and reverberating, and very organic, raw, and mean. No super deep burping bullshit. But I still prefer them to be somewhat deep, though they don't have to be (just no black metal esque rasps). Good examples would be Ross Dolan (Immolation), Götz Vogelsang (Deathevokation), Thomas Josefsson (Evocation), and Matte Andersson (Godgory, Loss). All four have this wet gargling thing working which is incredibly pleasing to me. (Another good example: the vocals on Wombbath's Internal Caustic Torments.

I should say that I have come across a ton of vocalists that have this going on to some degree...especially guys from the old school bands. But I'm looking for those who really take it to an extreme.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a name for this type of vocal sound, but since I am not very knowledgable when it comes to anything other than recognizing something as good metal, I have never heard it.

If you've been living in a cave and haven't heard Ross Dolan: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S94ZrMg3 ... re=related

Götz Vogelsang: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CV20zki ... re=related

Thomas Josefsson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n-4_KuqZ ... re=related

Matte Andersson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KlV5NwOO ... re=related

Let me give one example of what does not quite fit what I want (which I could see some recommending): the guy from Vehemence ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDg94AdK ... re=related ). He has the gargling thing going on some, but it is not CLEAR - it is somewhat muffled and dry. I want wet and clear, where I can hear every reverberation in the throat.

I hope this makes things clear enough. Any suggestions?

The wet gargle is failry popular in Goregrind, so that'd be a good place to look, a band to try in that category is Splatter Whore, I've heard them do one that fits that description and sounds like a bong.

My vocals are very similar to Ross Dolan's. Check the link in my sig. :)

Also check out Ulcerate's new album.

What I was referencing wasn't super deep or burping. I'm going to guess you haven't heard much Splatter Whore.

I have. They sound NOTHING like what he's looking for. He doesn't want pitchshifting. He wants Immolation/Deathevokation type vocals.

This sentence, taken out of context, proves absolutely horrifying.

Do you like Barney Greenway's vocals from Benediction?

Hard to tell what you're talking about. You mean like Unleashed?

Old Unleashed has it going on a bit, but not enough. Newer Unleashed is like some shitty yell.

Yes! I remember liking Subconscious Terror (only thing I've heard from Benediction), but haven't listened for a awhile and forgot what the vocals sounded like. Very nice rec.

The Cephalotripsy/condemned singer has awesome moments of gargling wetness. although it is Gore Grind the vox are still awesome check the track 'Sanguinary Misogynistic Execration' from 'Uterovaginal Insertion of Extirpated Anomalies' by Cephalotripsy.

Six Feet Under - Especially the Commandment album that is the only thing I can think of for now. You should also take a look on Dying Fetus, not sure if you'll like them or not.

1) That's not goregrind.

2) Those aren't even close to what he wants.
