Ideally, what I'd be looking for is a mixture of Arise-era Amebix and Morbid Saint. Really aggressive thrash with elements of death metal and crust punk, maybe with a bit of Amebix's doom-laden despair-filled moments a la Drink And Be Merry.

Any crust-influenced thrash will work, but something like the above would be most preferred.

Thanks!

I recommend Morne's demo and Hellshock's []Only the Dead Know the End of War[/i]. They're more thrash-influenced crust than crust-influenced thrash, though they are plenty good. Morne is lumbering midpaced crunching thrash-crust with some somber keyboard atmospherics thrown in during the chaos while Hellshock is all mortar, machine-gun, trenches, and war to me. I don't know what that might mean to you musically, but erm, check 'em out.

Is the Morne you're referring to from Boston? They're listed in the Archives as atmospheric sludge, but I can definitely hear the crust/thrash in their sound. It's actually kind of close to what I'm looking for; what I want is basically this but faster and more aggressive.

Hellshock were good too. Not quite thrashy enough, and I wasn't a fan of the vocals, but they were good.

Anyone got anything else?

Parasytic may work for you.

Parasytic: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=107734

Wastelander may, but replace Death with Black.

Wastelander: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=92307

Nuclear Death Terror, not so much Thrash, but plenty of Death and Crust.

Nuclear Death Terror: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=111891

Watch Them Die, has somewhat of a Death influence, they're Crust/Thrash/Metalcore. Metalcore, has a Melodeath influence, so there is a slight Death influence.

Watch Them Die: http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=12097

I'd imagine none of them are an exact match but may be close.

Sanctum is a crust band that has elements found in Bolt Thrower and Thrash Metal. Another band that you could try is After The Bombs. Metal Archives says Appalachian Terror Unit is thrash/crustcore but I don't think theres a big enough thrash influence in the music to warrant calling them that. Good band though although I can't stand the tone for this kind of music.

EDIT: forgot the legendary Hellkrusher

Thanks. Sanctum and Nuclear Death Terror were closest to what I wanted. After The Bombs were pretty close too.

What I'd like is something in between Sanctum and NDT; a good mix of death and thrash with a good helping of crust. That said, I'm very much satisfied with the recs that I've been given already.
