I'd like some recommendations for raw old school death metal. Stuff similar to demo-era Death/Mantas. Thanks in advanced.

No band comes straight to mind, other than Dead Congregation. No words, no emotions; just blood!

The Finnish old school scene is probably the rawest I know of. Deep and heavy. Check out the thread in the other section, most of the bands I checked out who where mentioned there was raw and old school.

I'd highly recommend checking out Mortem's Evil Dead demo from '89. Long enough to be a full length, fucking basement ass recording status, and it just sounds like they're having the time of their life playing some fucking morbid death metal.

Probably I missed that part. It seems I noticed only the term raw old school death. He can give it a chance anyway :D

Slaughter from Canada would fit your request quite well. Hell, Slaughter even used to rehearse with Chuck. Slaughter released an entire recording of one of their rehearsal's with Chuck back in 2004 (it was called Fuck of Death).
